Austria's gov't is mulling revocation of citizenship in the absence of any court ruling, without pretext, and in what strikes me as illegal--no-one cares about it, and if done, it'll end the republic
The desired destination is clearly tyranny. Citizenship clearly means less and less every day. Anwar al-Awlaki and his minor son were both American citizens by birth. Their citizenship was revoked by a drone. There were no protests from other US citizens. The precedent was set. The government can now kill you by labeling one terrorist. How serious should we take our obligations of citizenship? Let’s face the facts - we are no longer citizens as we had previously imagined the definition of citizenship. We are something much lesser.
The great un-learning is to blame for people foregoing their rights, which are now turning into privileges and prerogatives before our very eyes: what a clusterf*** of a development, and, yes, while it is obvious that 'the gov't' running the schools is to blame first and foremost, there's no substitute for civic responsibility: if you simply ignore what is your birthright--that's the 'endowed by their creator' part of the US Declaration of Independence--it will be taken away from you.
I refuse to consider myself or my children anything less(er), and I invite everybody to do the same.
I agree. We must keep our cherished beliefs and values, even after they label us terrorists for holding them. When they outlaw their utterance keep them alive in your heart and pass them onto the children. As long this is so, whatever tyranny they conjure up, it is of transitory nature. I wish more people would understand that our reality is always largely a reflection of our beliefs, ideas, and ideals. If they did, they would not so quickly discard them or replace them with those they mistake for their own.
Especially if insisting on natural rights and God-given freedoms will get you labelled a terrorist.
I firmly believe that human nature will be end of the current push for global tyranny, for such essential birthrights may only be suppressed temporarily, but they may never be taken away.
Presently. it looks like we are destined to first go through some really dark times. They are determined to yank those natural rights and God-given freedoms away from us. We will be punished for merely mentioning them, but we should keep them alive deep within us; never abandon them, and never accept slavery and bondage as something normal.
They’ve made it so easy for us to hate one another. We must relearn the power of Love!

Exactly.

make love not war
Australia strips citizenship from 'terrorists.'
That definition seems to change every year.
Talk about thought-crimes, eh?
It never was a definition with a succinct meaning, though.
