Suggest this is what people should be watching: https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/senate-joint-resolution/106/committees

It's still live and parked with congress 'until needed.'

Good point, which I've mentioned merely 'implicitly'.

We are also in the season of false flags. It is a very precarious time.

Kennedy? will be stopped soon, assassined or used as alibi for the Trumpist agency. As far as I see, many of Trumps statements really do disturb and unsettle the European sleepwalkers. Maybe the Trump interregnum will accelerate the decline of Europe, both geopolitical and economical. Alas, maybe, this fatal destabilizing checkpoints are planned for long.

What makes me troubled indeed is another thing. Trump, as he remarked several times, will act very authoritative. And - following Hannah Arendt - authoritarian regimes, may they be right- or leftwinged, always tend to go to extremes, always don't care for legal rules, the people, peoples interests or justice. They tend to care for the very few on top. The "Grünen" and Socialists falling apart in Germany f.e. will change nothing. The pendulum will switch to the far right extreme (CDU, AfD) with the same result: making the very few richer and the poor poorer.

A number of fair points, esp. once one considers that Mr. Trump is a highly dubious actor and a deal-maker. As to Europeans, I do think 'we' are sleepwalking, paired with wishful thinking.

I'm less inclined to subscribe to these notions about authoritarianism, though, if only because if you're a vassal, it doesn't matter an iota how the empire runs its affairs--what arrives typically comes about by way of orders.

I do tend to think that the major consequence will be a slight re-shuffling of the praetorian guards in the empire's satrapies, which aligns with your final thought.

This is not the beginning of the end, only the end of the beginning, as someone famous said once. Now, it is time for any one of us who opposes the blob, wherever we live in the West, to increase the pressure and run the enemy into the ground wherever possible.

You don't - ever - allow an existential threat time and space to retreat and regroup. You keep hounding them keep pounding on them until they are dust.

Small scale and local, or large scale and global - we must use what we learned during the Covid, how to dig and root out and expose and share, and keep it up. Attack, break through, encircle, destroy in detail, and keep pressing forwards, trusting in your fellow fighters to do the same.

I wish that were true, but I doubt it.

Mr. Trump gave us 'Operation Warp-Speed', he never apologised for the modRNA poison/death juices, and refused to countenance any consequences.

Doesn't matter. Ideally, he'd come out and admit he got hornswoggled, but that's not in his personality so it won't happen if it was true.

But him being elected, almost a landslide, and being able to stack the system against the woke (and all the rest of it) offers a window of opportunity for us in Europe:

Either we allow the likes of von der Lügen to keep making us into China-Kalifaat-Staat (as evidenced by her veiled threats in her "congratulations"-missive to Trump) or we increase the pressure on them to make them pivot, ideally to have a new guard oust the old and move the entire continent due patriotism, nationalism and back to reality, co-operating with the US as one of several partners instead of leash-holder.

Hard to say which way this goes, but since the German gov't just collapsed, we'll probably get a Trump-aligned successor: the changing of the Praetorian guards, if you like.

You forgot about RFK Jr. Let's see if he managed to do any useful work. Of course the whole establishment will be against it, but hey, maybe he'll open (and even complete) an investigation into the corona fiasco. That would obviously have consequences for Europe as well. Let's see if anything comes out of it.

Oh, you’re right, silly me.

RFK was clear about his intention to force Big Pharma to provide quality studies, which will likely put quite many companies out of business; perhaps it’ll change bioethics (sic), too.
