It would make a good (if somewhat grim) Christmas parlor game to guess which country or region will have prolonged blackouts first, which seems to be certain to happen the next few months.

Like in Eurovision, Australia might be the surprise winner, as Sydney has the same problem, except there the "green" energy doesn't work and/or is insufficient when it is too hot. Brownouts are predicted for this summer.

Ah, Sydney, that wasn't on my radar, but I think it is a good one, esp. as the 'green' stuff doesn't work in summer. That alone should tell the Eurocrats a thing or two about their wishful thinking (that is, as if power differentials between high input/low input aren't bad enough…)

I do think that we'll perhaps learn in spring how bad/tight it was several times, but in the end, I do think we'll go into 'energy saving time' (lockdowns). You know, the winter break in early February used to be called 'energy holidays' (Energieferien) as it meant that at the coldest period of winter, schools wouldn't have to be heated…

I wonder what will happen those houses that freeze without an electrically powered heat pump and cannot be drained ... in case of a black out . A total loss in any case.

Expand full comment

Well, since you'd be required to use a heat pump pursuant to Mr. Habeck's insane 'law', the house will be a loss anyways…

That's the most troubling thing here, isn't it? Even if you continue to pay into the system (via taxes, a form of theft) and wish to be left alone, they won't leave you in peace.

But de holy climate! Should it die just so we have energy? No, of course not. Energy is overrated. Just look at the birds. They don't sow, they reap, and the Lord God feeds them. In that respect, thank you, Mr. Economicdestructionduetoclimatebullshitsavingministerinpersonalunion.

Perhaps it's the expression, or manifestation, of the EU's death wish?

Well whadda ya know? Wind and solar green energy arent reliable and gas-coal-oil are. It’s like I’ve been saying this for years and finally Europe is starting to hear it. Sometimes you can’t tell people, you have to show them 😎

Oh, and then the whole Upton Sinclair notion comes into play, too.

In Germany they will blame Putin again for being so evil.

And they did put this transition in motion, shut down nuclear power plants, the prices are skyrocketing, and Germany is now importing the power from France which has 50 or more nuclear power plants. And Germany saves the world from global warming. And we all lived happily ever after….

Sometimes I think that we need a blackout so the people can’t turn on the TV and just for a day or two stop listening this 24/7 propaganda.

And the US took out NS2. Funny how American LNG is double what Russian LNG was. Those sanctions have really been a succes.

No wonder that you need to run 24/7 campaign how we are going to die from co2/Russians/covid/right etc.

It was reported the peak increase in one of the zones in Sweden was a 1300% price increase.

Oh, well, I don't know what lies 'beyond' madness, but I suppose it's something like 'hell-hole' or 'shit-hole'. Or both.

Southern Norway also had super-high prices yesterday, but due to price controls, the maximum for consumers was 2 NOK (while Mr. Market™ said it was 13+ NOK), with the difference being picked up by the gov't…

Land of engineers is coming on it´s knees. Thanks to an evil mixture out of "ordinary" people (every state needs them 🙄), rotten bureaucrats and a caste of salaried (and incentivised) managers who would also sell their grandmother if they hadn't already done so.

Busch-Thor is saying at best 1/4 truth. She was part of the previous coalition: "conservative", i.e. neo-liberal, that ensured that we're stuck like this.

And here predecessors are just as guilty as she.

Here's the funny bit: she and her party, alongside the Liberal party, are directly responsible for our migrant-crises ever since the early 1990s. Because: her party comes from the free churches, the outside the state church congregations, and they have been instrumental in running what is essentially a non-profit human smuggling operation since the late 1980s in getting as many religious migrants as possible into Sweden.

A criminal operation, hiding people who has no right to be here, hiding people who's been ordered to leave, hiding criminal migrants - whatever, as long as they are religious and "convert" to Christianity.

The reason for this is that the founding group behind her party hate atheism, hate secular humanism (considering it Satanism), believe the Bible is literal truth, and so on - basically your average American fundamentalist, Swedish-style.

Her party, the Christian Democrats, are hypocrites par excellence.

On a lighter note, the old name for the party, who gained their first seats in Parliament via what was effectively election fraud way back (the Center Party gave them some of their seats post-election, since there was no rule against it) was Krist-Demokratisk Samling, which shortened to KDS, which in turn sounds a little as if your saying "condom" in Swedish slang (kådis).

Hilarious seeing as they initially wanted to ban all forms of contraception. And extra-/pre-marital sex, and. . . There's a good reason the party has rarely crept above 5% of the vote. Swedes are done with that crap after close to 1 000 years of oppression by that particular sect. Too bad my fellow countrymen - especially those in Busch-Thor's party! - don't realise Islam is even worse.

Huhum, I was, obviously, too generous calling her comment a 'half-truth', thanks for that.

I didn't want to get into these weeds, though, for reasons that have to do with the focus of the piece. I do consider what Ms. Busch is doing a prime example of politicking, i.e., blaming someone or something beyond the borders instead of admitting one's collaboration. This 'game' is as old as politics.

(Re the slang wordplay: LMFAO, that's hilarious, thanks for this.)

As to your closing paragraph, I suppose those who identify as 'cultural Christians' (e.g., Prof. Dawkins) are barely a notch above the kådis peddlers…

It must be obvious by now that Empire has seeded ideas and people to Europe to destroy the economies of Europe, particularly Germany, and they have succeeded beyond their wildest imagination. It is critical to understand that intermittent nature of "green energy" was well known. The least they could have done was to create an infrastructure of "stand-by" power. Unfortunately, markets have no incentives to create such capacity. The other vector of destruction of European economies was deliberate severing the energy supplies from Europe. EU, NATO, and Euro are all imperial creations. Empire is a creation of Big Money. The diminishing of the West is not a bug but a feature! Enough people must first become aware of our naked reality to have any chance of saving ourselves. Europe’s problem (and West’s in general) cannot be solved on the "effects" level. We must go to the source and yank their capacity to rule over us once and for all!

As much as I share these sentiments, I'm doubtful that the powers-that-be will permit 'us' (who would that include, exactly?) to go our merry ways; I'd think they'd rather nuke the world and/or stage a fake 'alien' invasion…

Expand full comment

Yes, that is true but never underestimate the power of a critical mass of people. People at the tip of the power pyramid are very few. They cannot even start a nuclear war without the middle technocratic layer which actually executes their agenda. It is this layer that is the Achilles heel of this criminal system. If they believe they have more to lose by serving the Oligarchy than the People, they will switch sides in an instance. It is our job to convince the technocratic class to switch their allegiance. This appears to be exceedingly difficult at the moment because it is, but this could easily change by gathering a critical mass of people who are demanding change. After all, most of these people live amongst us and they and their families won’t be spared from the Criminal agenda. They and their families got jabbed just like so many of the rest of the people. They must realize that we are all in the same boat.

I am skeptical about our chances because I have my doubts about the capacity of a critical mass of people awakening on time. Let’s face it, we are too easily manipulated. But there is no doubt in my mind that the system only appears stronger than it really is. Its survival depends entirely on people going along with it, no matter what they do to us. Our only choice right now is peal off the technocratic layer, especially those with guns.

Most state institutions will be 'reduced' or 'cancelled' before too long as bankruptcy becomes widespread; look at the mountains of sovereign debt--it's unsustainable, hence many of these parasites will go away before too long. Question is, how many of us will they take with them?

Expand full comment

Yes, there may be a collapse but on the ride down they will land right back on top of us to ride us again. In the old days we had jubilees to cancel all debt, and start again. They are unwilling and unable to do that and so they are searching for alternative resets. It looks like wars, civil strife, famines, impoverishment, population reductions and the One World Oligarchical Government is what they opted for.

I don't know if you saw it, but I produced a German version shortly after this piece:

Having looked at the kind of second-hand journalism™ done by Die Welt, I honestly consider my reporting here far superior.

If I may forecast the "weather"--

The Nasties can "control" the weather, so they plan to hit hard, using weather as their weapon, and trying to force an uprising so they can send goons to kill the angry mobs.

Kill us with weather, kill us with each other, kill us with toxic food, lack of heat, water, etc etc etc

They surely think we will just PERISH (by killing each other off, so they seem "innocent," and they think the People will not figure out the what, why, and how, and who is responsible... The arrogance and loathing of Humanity is what ALWAYS causes tyrants to FAIL...
