TRA released 6,000 locusts, which is 'disgusting', according to legacy media--in case of doubt, 'eating ze bugs' is still going to 'save ze planet', sayeth Klaus Schwab
This is why they need right-wing extremists fascists christian conservatives insert label here; it's the only way they can keep from fighting each other.
It's not even to the level of "the revolution eating its children", it's simply an expression of their immaturity and inability, and blinkered-ness in having been a "protected species" for several decades now.
That's a thread to start unraveling when it comes the general malaise and degeneracy of western civilisation: what ghosts, invented by whom, and spread about and used as threats by what media, pundits and politicians are and more importantly were always exactly that: ghosts?
Growing neo-nazism in the early 1990s? It sure was presented as an existential threat, and spoken about using phrases and a tone suggestion that a coup could come at any moment. Yet, from what leaked from the State Security Police, from their internal reports from that time, there never were more than at most 2 000 individuals, 5 out of 6 teenagers or under 25, with little to no organisation beyond where to meet for getting drunk.
But the media and politicians and the neo-liberal lobbyist groups and sundry others banged the tin-drum so hard it seemed as if there was popular support behind them, eventually creating a "normal" where everyone had to be ready to stamp out any opinion voiced that had been tied to "neo-nazism".
Same thing here: the ghost - and reality - of any measures not completely sycophantic to homosexuals and their demands for ever increasing privileges was removed. Bang, starts the infighting.
Now imagine if the ghost underlying the EUs invasion policies was to be exorcised.
'Now imagine if the ghost underlying the EUs invasion policies was to be exorcised.'
Hear, hear.
As to the other parts of your posting: well, that's the thing. Also, since 'trans' or 'queer' cannot be defined other than adversity to what is 'normal' (via D. Halperin's Saint Foucault, 1995), it must be an ongoing, if not permanent, revolution vs., well, anything and everything.
I do think the best way forward would be to take a step back and let them have a panel discussion about 'animal cruelty' vs. 'eat ze bugs', organised by Yuval Harari at the WEF in Davos.
Bad Catitude/El Gato Malo addressed the falling of the walls around the protected species recently in his excellent post, parts quoted below;
“The proscription on speaking one’s mind is gone. Albeit imperfect, twitter/X is allowing an awful lot of far freer expression and the left is melting down. Information was leaking out. Now it’s flooding, torrents of tide-turning tidbits washing away informational asymmetry and inverting it to the point where the informational advantage lies with the villagers.
They are used to being the only ones speaking. They are used to being the only ones who know stuff. Others getting to speak and knowing stuff too seems like wild horror and incredible slant to them as they mistake a return to “equal” from “massively biased”, for “biased toward the other side.”
This makes them howl, but that only makes them easier to find. Without informational advantage, the werewolves are rapidly rounded up. They scream and squall and demand to censor, to return to the days of unfair, closed discourse.
And instead they get mockery. The cathedral tries to take over the commanding heights of the new types of media and the bazaar mocks that too. It’s over for them. Bedtime for bonzo.
Cancel culture has lost its ability to intimidate and drive self-censorship and the resultant atmosphere is glorious. And they are right to be afraid. Social media is finding its stride and starting to get spicy.
It's OK again to just absolutely cream these people and having to care that they care is over. They have the right to remain silent (but they won't). Anything they say can and will be used against them by ronin memelords who are WAY better at this than they are and can link concepts faster than the prog spogs can gin them up. Bambi, meet godzilla.
Imagine how terrifying this must be for them. Imagine their panic, their fear as their entitled senses of self erode beneath them and their ideologies as identity fall like dominoes to meme upon meme upon meme. This is spicy turned up to about 4. Wait until they see 8.
The tipping point is coming, the point where this all becomes one epic dogpile and fear of what the winged monkeys of oppressive oppression narrative might do gives way to the gleeful mockery and undermining of these most false of prophets and the sputtering remains of their tawdry, anti-human doctrines.
The vanguard is already inside the walls and when the middle moves, it’s going to be a rout. There is a staggering level of energy pent up here. This is going to be more fun than you can shake a stick at, plus the stick. We all get to be us again and they all get a free lifetime supply of “sit down and shut up, no one cares.”
These least empathetic of humans who have so weaponized performative demands that we empathized with them whatever the cost to us, and all their marginal minds and marginal ideas are going to go back to being marginalized. They are way out past where they can swim and the only thing holding them up is the fear others have had of calling them out.
And that, mis amigos, is over.
As the tipping point tips, calling things by their real names will become the new vogue and no longer will the demoralization of having to kowtow to abject idiots and crybullies, and make pretense to their virtue and morality, weigh so heavily upon us. The “remoralization” both ethically and of the public mood will be the virtuous opposite of the vicious cycle that has so offended sense and sensibility for these long last 16 years or so.
The problem with using absurdist doctrines to demoralize a population is that if you ever lose the power to compel, you’re left standing way out on an absurd limb with your pants down and no real explanation for what you were doing apart from “we meant well” when, clearly, you didn’t.
You’re utterly exposed and basically defenceless”.
None of the issues ruining our lives can go away. As you say trans or queer will be permanent features, as will race, Palestine, DEI etc.
DEI is particularly pernicious as it invades every aspect of our lives. It sets up an unstable equilibrium, maintenance of which requires constant pressure. I’m sick of liberals telling us it is a one time adjustment which is clearly not true since the beneficiaries are not people unjustly treated but people unjustly rewarded. They don’t suddenly become more competent, they simply follow the Peter principle without having had to time-serve to get there. If we stop DEI pressure the situation will revert to real equilibrium and the former beneficiaries will be out on their arses.
This leads to the second problem with DEI, which is that incompetent people make bad decisions that compound over time. It’s no coincidence that the level of competence - both public and private - across the west is in free fall. It ties directly back to the corruption of almost every company and every institution by DEI. The recent hurricane Helene demonstrated this in spades (can I say that?). FEMA, the agency designated, has been more concerned that their - extraordinarily ineffective - efforts should be deployed “equitably” which in their warped world means non-whites, non-heterosexuals first. This against a once in a century tragedy where thousands have died, hundreds of thousands remain destitute. Beyond criminal.
Corporations of course are impacted as well. There’s no doubt that Boeing’s ongoing travails arise to some extent to recent recruitment policies that focus on diversity over any actual plane-building skills. And then of course there’s the military, U.K., U.S., NATO - though that might be something we should be grateful for.
Tangential I know to your article. Point is that none of these issues will ever go away naturally. Pandora’s box is wide open. If we want lives without the constant white noise of their nonsense we will have to find a more direct way of getting there than talking about it.
