One great problem with debating the issue of covid, how dangerous it actually is, and the mRNA-shots (aside from what can only be called "superliminal" propaganda and censorship and so on) is the sad fact that media - at least in Sweden - has continously picked out the most deranged critics as being typical of all critics.
It's an old-school propaganda tool of course, very effective here in the nation where the socialist democrats tried to make it illegal to own satellite-dishes for private citizens or to receive foreign radio and TV (especially news) in the late eighties: for at least 75% of swedish swedes, if it's not on state TV or radio, or in any of the old regime loyal legacy papers, it's not real and must be disinformation.
However, there is also the sad fact that a great many public critics are of the "chlorine is used to bleach sugar"-variety. Incoherent, raving, neurotic, paranoid, and equally myopic as any politruk or apparatchik or corporate creature - just in the opposite direction: if it's /not/ from a pharmaceutical company, and not checked out by regulatory authorites, and (even better) is "natural" and (best of all) african or asian, it is guaranteed to be a good cure for any ailment.
Which is of course is as patently ridiculous as the claims of various corporate and political critters these past two years. You could say that just because being shot in the left foot is bad, does not make shooting oneself in the right one good.
Re your first paragr.: well, isn't this the same MO as with, say, anything coming from 'the extreme right'?--Think: the Charlottesville riots, the 6 Jan. 'Insurrection', or Trump in general: it's always *the worst*. Hence I don't think that Sweden is 'special' in this regard.
Re the second paragr.: that sounds suspiciously like the country I grew up in, Austria, with state and non-state media being funded by the same people (the gov't and its private factors), hence they're singing the same tunes.
The last sentence really says it all, doesn't it?!
We are following along with the century old indoctrination. Also, the government purchased the injection and that contract the government signed with the manufacturer ought to be investigated. You know what I think already we have to go back.
I know what you mean, and I share your expectations, to certain degrees: the money has been forked over, true, and there's institutional as well as political inertia to consider. Still, I maintain that at some point, we'll be served a pawn, or patsy, to be perp-walked (paraded) around to placate the hoi polloi.
At this junction, I suspect this will 'end' like with Harvey Weinstein, the #metoo crap, and the Jeffrey Epstein saga: everybody knows, but there'll be 'official' condemnation--and no changes. I doubt (as in: hypothesise) that neither 'Hollywood' nor 'the intelligence community' changed after either affair, thus providing the most likely template.
"'booster’ uptake is a bit more variegated, so to speak, but it’s still insanely high among those 45 and older (which might be Norway’s way to ‘solve’ the retirement funding problem..." ---> This line of thinking has occurred to me more than once.
The damage that is being done to people, especially the young, is hard to wrap my mind around.
It's mind-boggling, I know, but as often as I bring up the 'ulterior motive' line, my wife tells me it's more likely to be ignorance, stupidity, and ass-covering. It's hard to argue, but then again, I think one should differentiate between the politicians (puppets) and their masters.
Re the 'standstill': I think people just ignore the injections now, because they can. There's no downside, but once people see a downside (again), they'll go and get some more of it.
Remember: it's all set-up, and these darned Covid Passports can be introduced at a whim's notice, as I reported on in early January 2022:
Re the pensions: haha, upon coming to Norway, I've been told the following: 'you're in statens pensjonskasse' (state retirement fund, or something like it), hence it's better than not to be. My official retirement age would be 70, which in line with 'expectations', will be around 72-73 by that time, I've been told.
Or whatever, that's so far removed in time, I'm not even sure I care about it (right now), but that might change as I get older. Also, and you may not believe this, but (income) taxes are way lower than, say, in Central Europe (Austria boasts an average tax rate of c. 43%, with Germany's being a tad higher still); I'm taxed at 32% right now, which isn't too little, but it's o.k.-ish in terms of the return I experience. My tax rate in Austria would be 50% (top marginal rate for 'high earners', such as professors), and that's a rate not only for white-collar professionals, but also people like my mother-in-law (who was a registered nurse for 40+ years) ended up paying that top rate.

Sure. Their economic/social system will go on until it collapses.
True, shall we talk about (politically correct) 'sustainability' next?
Only should you want a lesson on what sustainable means!

Well, if you recall my piece on it, you and I do:
