As mentioned there, I shall now proceed to reproduce some of the more “iconic”, if not “canonical” images of Western tourists who travelled to Kenya.

Like with other “newer” tourist hot-spots, I’m certainly glad someone printed a few indications onto the postcard, for if that was missing, identifying these images—a pool, palm trees, a beach—might be quite tricky (apart from the bottom-left corner image, which says “in a place unlike Europe”.
A “beach scene in Malindi”, sent on 12 Jan. 1972, by a newly-married couple on their honeymoon (defying the winter of Central Europe).
Here, too, a tourist area is shown, with the reverse telling its readers it is from the “Coast of East Africa”.
