Regarding music: the early Bach cantatas 4, 12, 21, 106, 131, 150 have been carrying me through the pandemic.

"Who, one may therefore ask, are we today trying to placate?"

We're trying to placate the twin gods called Science and Progress. Both are angry, jealous gods. So, children are to be sacrificed.

My bet would be Nemesis.

I'm quite certain that righteous retribution for past transgressions will arrive in due course.

Nemesis may get involved later, after the sacrifices. For now, we're placating Science and Progress with children.

The whole point of sacrifice, be it human or animal, is to minimize the bloodshed required to pacify the community. Therefore, it is natural to select a group as scapegoat that can only shrink in size, such as the unvaccinated (until all guilt is projected onto the last unvaccinated person). A growing number of vaccine side effects has no pacifying function, is therefore disturbing and being ignored.

Agreed, in principle.

Now, human sacrifice, esp. of the underage variety (cue the 'Old Testament'), should, I guess, require at least a somewhat conscientious reasoning behind it.

These incidences, though, I mean … I've not posted anything on the decidedly worst (in my own subjective estimation) cases: the data are so sickeningly shocking, I'm left speechless right now.

I'm for one deeply disturbed, but far from ignoring this, I shall tell everyone I meet about them.

This

must

stop.

Stop it must, indeed. But when these horrible facts finally find their way into public discourse, there will be attempts to blame it on unvaccinated adults: if only all adults had taken the vaccine, we would not have had to vaccinate kids.

You know, the weirdest part ist: no-one of the (perhaps) jabbed people in my circles (I never ask, lest I be asked: this is private medical information, hence nothing to be talked about outside one's doctor's office) has ever raised counter-arguments, which I find even worse than, you know, the rather typical emotional and/or ad hominem attacks.

I remember, it must have been late last spring, one of my co-workers even said something like 'I'm almost disappointed that I experienced no adverse reactions' after taking two Moderna shots.

As to the kids angle, well, I shall not tire to point out to everyone that this is the very first time (para-/historical child sacrifices aside, i.e., from the Old Testament to the Aztecs) in human history that adults are so deranged and ask (demand) that minors must do this or that to 'protect' them. It has never happened in human history, perhaps because, from a purely evolutionary perspective, it's a very stupid, if not outright suicidal, thing to do, to say nothing about the ethics and moral factors involved.

See, what's going on is that Western culture (understood broadly) is terrified of death, and simultaneously does not believe in its own future. So, a virus comes along, we collectively panic 'coz ZOMG it might kill us when we would have lived forever otherwise, and so in order to make it not so, we sacrifice the kiddies. Some literally (by killing or maiming them with gene therapy), and most others by merely denying them normal developmental opportunities. Makes sense. In the way that demanding that they call you Sire makes sense if you've convinced yourself you're Napoleon.
