And today, ladies and gentlemen, Norwegian state broadcaster NRK just ran the below combo of links on its front page:
Slovakias PM shot
Deputy PM: Fico is conscious after hors-long surgery
[left] This is Robert Fico: ‘He is a clever fox’
[middle] Watch the moment the PM was shot
[right] This assassination lead to WW1
Reasons why this is batshit insanity include, among others, the following facts:
The European continent was at peace on the morning of Sunday 28 June 1914, when Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie Chotek arrived at Sarajevo railway station. Thirty-seven days later, it was at war.
Thus Christopher Clark opens his Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914 (Allen Lane, 2012), on xxi. None of the conditions he writes about there are present; Europe isn’t ‘at peaces’, and Robert Fico is no Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
What Mr. Fico is, however, is an opponent of antagonising Russia, he recently spoke clearly about the modRNA Covid-19 injections calling for a thorough criminal investigation (also in Slovakia’s excess deaths since, well, 2021), and he is furthermore against NATO’s endless war preparations, as well as sided with Brussels’ bete noire, Hungary’s Viktor Orbán.
Legacy Media is All Over Itself, Again
Hence we may ponder why the alleged assassin—a 71 year-old left-wing writer—took matters into his own hand; if he would be considered yet another ‘lone gunman’, he would be in quite an amazing company…
Speaking of mentally insane company, here’s the URL of an initial ‘analysis’ by Der Spiegel:
https://www.spiegel.de/ausland/slowakei-schuesse-auf-den-premier-wie-fico-das-klima-in-seinem-land-mit-vergiftet-hat-a-f37cf813-c99e-41f1-991c-b6fda76549f4
The highlighted part of the URL reads: ‘how Fico co-poisoned the climate in his country’, showcasing yet another instance of leftish perpetrator-victim inversion, with the lede reading:
The victim, too, contributed to the polarisation.
The piece has since been changed (there was quite a bruahahaha on Twitter/X about this), but the ‘journo’ in question, one Jan Puhl, has disgraced himself.
Oh, did I mention ‘somewhere’ that Robert Fico is technically a Social-Democrat who doesn’t like mass migration, the overbearing domination meted out by the EU, and appears, with respect to the WHO-declared, so-called ‘Pandemic™’ both based and redpilled?
Bottom Lies by Omission
Needless to say, while virtually all legacy media calls Robert Fico a ‘controversial’ politician, they do omit these above-mentioned ‘issues’. Here’s the above-linked NRK piece on Mr. Fico’s character (translation and emphases mine):
Controversial politician
Fico has been Prime Minister of Slovakia for four terms and is the leader of the social democratic party ‘Smer’, which means ‘forwards’. [note that ‘smer’ literally translates into ‘direction’ or ‘movement’, but since it is a notionally social-democratic party, I chose the translation ‘forwards’; hat/tip to reader Irena]
Although he has a background as a social democrat, Fico is considered a populist leader. He is sceptical about arms aid to Ukraine and still wants some cooperation with Russia.
In 2018, Fico resigned as the country's prime minister following a countrywide crisis after journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée were killed.
The journalist had been digging into government corruption and the murder sparked widespread protests.
Fico returned to politics almost six years later. At the time, he wanted to deny four major media organisations access to the Prime Minister’s Office because of their so-called ‘hostile political attitudes’.
The words ‘Covid’ or ‘vaccines’ don’t appear in these and other legacy media reports. Important context shall be added:
You can watch Mr. Fico addressing these issues in the Slovak parliament two weeks ago by clicking here.
Epilogue
Since we began this posting with the WW1 reference and I quoted from the opening page of Clark’s book, I think it’s appropriate to quote from his conclusions, too:
Here’s what Clark wrote about the July Crisis on pp. 456-7 (my emphases):
It would certainly be misleading to think of the Austrian note [the ultimatum to Serbia delivered on 28 July 1914] as an anomalous regression into a barbaric and bygone era before the rise of sovereign states. The Austrian note was a great deal milder, for example, than the ultimatum presented by NATO to Serbia-Yugoslavia in the form of the Rambouillet Agreement drawn up in February and March 1999 to force the Serbs into complying with NATO policy in Kosovo. Its provisions included the following:
‘NATO personnel shall enjoy, together with their vehicles, vessels, aircraft and equipment free and unrestricted passage and unimpeded access through the Former Republic of Yugoslavia, including associated airspace and territorial waters. This shall include, but not be limited to, the right of bivouac, manoeuvre, billet and utilization of any areas or facilities as required for support, training, and operations.’
Henry Kissinger was doubtless right when he described Rambouillet as ‘a provocation, an excuse to start bombing’, whose terms were unacceptable even to the most moderate Serbian. The demands of the Austrian note pale by comparison.
Behold the lessons of history: behind every ‘major’ event lurk groups and people with ulterior motives.
This time is no different.
Most assassination attempts of public figures are engineered to serve the interests of the criminal cabal. This one is unlikely to be any different.
That was my FIRST thought when I heard this. 'Another Franz Ferdinand, another patsy shooting. God help us!' F the media!
Edit: Well, good luck - Australia is not showing up this time!
