Guess what: there are no quick'n'easy solutions, yet EUrocrats are doubling down on their treasonous behaviour. With no solutions offered by anyone in sight, all that remains is hope for a warm winter
It seems to me that the purpose of the phoney war and the phoney pandemic is to bring as much suffering as possible to the poor public. I do enjoy your work so thanks.
From my American point of view (ie, ignorance of the details), all of this brings up the question “Why don’t the Europeans produce more of their own gas supplies?” The chart shows only 19% is produced in Europe. Is this because the cost to extract it would be more than the current sale price, so that it wouldn’t be worth getting out of the ground? I read an article speculating that while the reason(s) might be different in each country in Europe, the fundamental reason was that land owners don’t have the mineral rights to the hydrocarbons under their land, so they don’t stand to benefit from hydrocarbon extraction.
Also, it is stated in the American press that Germany turned against nuclear power after the Fukushima disaster in Japan. What doesn’t make sense to me (again maybe I am missing important details) if this is true, is that geographically Germany is completely different. It isn’t on top of a massive tectonic plate and seems very unlikely to suffer from any tsunamis.
I am not really expecting answers to my questions, just expressing my mystification at the situation.
The grand scheme of the USA fascists is to bottle up our gas and sell it to Europeans. Should they be able to afford it. Not even close to enough to make up the difference as per this story. We'll see how long that message withstands the idea everyone's home heating bills will increase.

Thank you. A great article and discussion with clarity.
You are welcome, and please do credit the Russian media outlet for it. (I do wish that the 'Western media' would do analyses like these…)
