Yes, it is stupid, but in reality is is even stupider... I am involved with some technology that in the meantime could make ICE vehicles more efficient by about 20%, if they are older, (say 50K+ mioles), and extend engine life 3x, so lower the overall cost and environmental impact of gas vehicles.

Further, everyone still overlooks the "Fourth Power Law," of increasing infrastructure maintenance (roads, bridges, tunnels), by making vehicles 30% heavier:

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) developed the "Fourth Power Law," which states that the damage to the road surface increases with the fourth power of the axle load. This means that if the axle load doubles, the damage caused increases by a factor of 16.

Oh, I believe you immediately. Every time I bring up vehicle weight, my interlocutors look at me with a sense of (what I perceive as) mild bemusement to bewilderment: I have taken to start that conversation by pointing to (much more expensive) concrete surfaces at bus stops or rich country's motorways (Austria, for example, begun to exchange asphalt for concrete, esp. the right-most lanes, in the 1990s--for precisely these reasons as heavy-duty trucking took off). Needless to say, pouring reinforced concrete is much more time-consuming (expensive) than 'simply' paving a road surface.

As to your first point, well, what else is there to say: my older brother is a high-powered attorney specialising in 'environmental law' (don't be fooled, his job is to find loopholes) told me a few years ago: given all we know about life-cycle emission profiles that include what's called a 'cradle-to-grave' assessment--i.e., production of raw materials, transportation of parts-to-be-assembled, manufacturing, etc.--a gasoline-powered car is the most climate-friendly type of automobile.

Personally, I don't know why people buy new cars, let alone get a car loan to buy them: a car is the most rapidly depreciating asset (sic) one can own, and there's simply no way a new car is worth most, if not any, kind of that level of financial commitment.

it gets funnier, for NY State is now introducing very expensive ways to weigh overweight trucks, at the same time as they are trying to make them overweight by promoting BEV., not to mention all the BEV cars on the market being overweight, and while electrical propulsion may be more efficient,

That sounds about right™: designate something a problem, penalise the offenders lest they do what you want them to do, and--voilà: you've increased the reach and scope of the gov't.

Release a mind virus and let it create its own crappy reality. We just need to keep in mind that release is intentional!

Oh, that's obvious--look at the climate change™ narrative, Covid, virtually all news™ there is: it's mostly BS, badly done, and often totally incoherent: I'm unsure how much of that nonsense is intentionally designed to confuse people ('flood the zone') or simply due to drastically falling individual education levels.

Distraction, confusion, fear, brainwashing, memory loss (hippocampus attack), inability for independent reasoning, instilling false paradigms, nudging techniques, are some of the vectors of attack on our brains, resulting in menticide.

And then there's the kind of Stockholm syndrome aspect: I find that a sizeable share of the overall population doesn't want to learn, find out, and know many things that are quite…complicated and complex (not the same thing), disturbing, and/or so paradigm-shifting ('red-pilling') that they'd rather prefer to live the lie.

Problem is, one cannot live a lie 100% at all time, hence the in my view powerful insights by Václav Havel as summarised in his Living in Truth: https://archive.org/details/vaclavhavellivin00have

Thanks. Joshua Stylman wrote a 4 part article on MKULTRA on his Substack. Probably worth reading.

I believe our brains are under attack from multiple vectors - food, water, air, “medicine”, and specific radio frequencies. This is in addition to miseducation, propaganda, misinformation, and a wide range of psychological techniques. When I look at people around me, there is no question in my mind that we have been substantially and successfully altered from our standard human form. This is most visible in significant dulling of basic human survival instincts, made most visible during COVID.

Have you seen David Hughes' 'Omniwar' hypothesis? He's making essentially the same argument.

I’ve read Hughes’s "COVID-19" book. I came to the same conclusion as Hughes - Omniwar.

For me, the politicians of the climate cult, the sickest mafia in the world, all belong in prison – FOREVER, although they actually deserve an even harsher punishment, because they are also responsible for the Covid madness, another gigantic crime, and the mass invasion.

There is no man-made global warming, there never has been. They now even have the chutzpah to talk about climate change instead of AGW as if climate change had never existed before, which only proves once again their abysmal depravity and mendacity.

The climate fraud was invented and ratified in 1992 (Rio) to drive all Western countries into bankruptcy and their inhabitants into climate madness, and to turn the world into a prison with total control down to the nuclear level*), and the masterminds succeeded.
