It's been a good year for fruit, vegetables, cereals worldwide, but the heavily subsidised 'farming™' concerns of 'the West' are in for tough times
Here's an idea that always angers politicians and politicial True Believers from all over the ideological diagnostic spectrum:
Drop all subsidies on all agriculture.
Drop all taxes on domestic production of food.
There, problem solved.
Three cheers for that proposition.
Most ‘farmers’ are wards of the state at this point, and if we wish to preserve some freedoms, we need free farmers, willing to stand up for freedom.
You are absolutely right in your conclusion that it is ultimately up to each person to decide who will govern them; themselves or others. I appreciate your direct, honest writing.
Hi Dave,
thanks for reading and your kinds words in particular.
It's a seemingly old, worn cliché that all journeys start with the first step; it's also true.
And I submit that this is also the case with tyranny vs. freedom; once you decide to be free, there's nothing stopping you.
