All totalitarian measures are driven from above, from a supra-national level. All professional and governmental structures have been captured and are now in service of those at war with the rest of us. The best we can do is to push back on the manifestation (effect) level. Even if we were to successfully push back on each narrow case we’d still lose the war. If we wish to be successful we must focus onto the source from which all these things emanate. Reacting solely on effects level can never save us.
My non-smartphone recently broke. It took 3 (4?) weeks to replace it with another non-smartphone. Despite the annoyance, I simply would not give in.
