They can "encourage" "recommend" "strongly recommend" and "urge" me to wear a face diaper all they want it's not gonna

Hear, hear.

Same here. Tyranny doesn’t go away by continued compliance.

How very encouraging to hear no one complied with the subtle coercion to don the diaper!

Well, I'm in Scandinavia, which is, in many ways, quite an "outlier" when it comes to these matters.

Still, I said to my spouse after the recital: if someone would have moved to get a face diaper, others would have followed.

I'll have another footnote about this coming soon, for now it suffices to say that sheep perhaps "like" (?) to be shorn, but at least no-one could be bothered enought yesterday? Maybe more out of convenience than out of concern, for "vaccine" uptake is very high here (c. 90% among those 18 years and older).

Be that as it may, since the local gov't reintroduced the "recommendation" to wear a face diaper unless you could keep at least 1m "distance" from each other--a notion I continue to ignore--I haven't been asked to wear one as of today (this is different from, say, a year ago).

You’re so right! Makes me think of the elevator conformity experiment: https://vimeo.com/277929528

You know, Margaret, we went to the mall after I posted this.

As my spouse stepped off the escalator, she stopped to let a face diaper-wearing senior citizen pass--who, instead of saying something like, you know, "thanks", told my spouse to "don a face-mask".

I'm still pissed.

Also, about 2/3 of the shoppers around wore face diapers, but not the shop clerks and sales agents. I do wonder why none of the shoppers stops for a moment and thinks about this.
