While Scandinavian circumstances continue to be ‘better’ than elsewhere with respect to Covid-19, here’s a brief pictorial update on what Norway’s ‘lockdown’ and the accompanying sentiments actually look like—in my daughter’s kindergarten, which I mentioned earlier due to extenuating circumstances.
(Kindergartens and primary schools went from ‘green’ to ‘orange’ last Monday, 13 Dec., due to the fear of Omicron and a good deal of ‘measured’ responses introduced by the gov’t.)
So, behold, the ‘orange’ threat level in kindergarten is tantamount to separating kids from both floors when outside: a bench and piece of rope with reflecting yellow vests are enough to keep Sars-Cov-2 from spreading from one side of this ‘barrier’ to the other side. I’m told this might also work against the spread of sarcasm and different opinions.
In case you can’t see that ‘barrier’, I’ve added a ‘visual aid’ to render it more visible, but I’m unsure about the function of these yellow vests, my guess is that they serve to prevent anyone from tripping over the rope. I don’t know anything about accident insurance implications if anyone trips over this; I mean, kindergarten staff and children should be covered, but I remain unsure about parents or the milk delivery man.
Also, note that some of the locals, incl. part of my co-workers, call me a cynic every now and then.
Humor is all fine and well, and necessary for one’s sanity, but this stupidity and cruelty has real consequences. We just had to skip the whole kindergarten year because they were requiring masks and I was adamant against subjecting my daughter to that treatment. This either stops completely or the future will be more of the same.

To be honest, your kindergarten might be a little special. In mine they are also separated inside, in different rooms. They share toilet but that's it. Also personnel are not allowed to mingle.
But yes, if this spreads as they think it does, then it doesn't matter.
On a brighter note, now we know what we need to do to end the lockdown. 700k doses need to be taken by 45+.
Pretty specific if you ask me.
