Bah. That straw thing came about as a made-up thing a kid did for a school report. Makes very, very little difference as plastic waste is a much bigger problem than straws.

I see mask waste every day I go out (which is almost every day). Mostly lying discarded on the ground by stores.

I agree with the straw insanity.

In the kindergarten context, the most idiotic aspect is that parents are mostly keeping their kids home today, for whatever "reason".

Also, almost no morning traffic on the roads here, which suggest compiance continues to be elevated.

I’m just impressed by all the unused shelf and organizational space—mine would be stuffed from floor to ceiling 😆

Well, there's an easy, if supremely stupid, explanation: I asked about that earlier today, and I was told that about half the kids aren't in kindergarten these days.

The 'reason'? Well, it's two things, really: some are so afraid that they won't let their kids go (which is extra-stupid), others wish to travel internationally and refrain from sending their kids to kindergarten to reduce their risk of getting infected, which would play havoc with their travel plans (I have no words to say about that).

So, you see, when I went grocery shopping earlier today, I found out where all locals were: at the shopping mall, of course, because there no-one ever is exposed to any kinds of pathogens.

Is it just me or is the world around me getting crazier by the minute?
