Even if there is an option to opt out there is ZERO assurance some malicious hacker group would not hack. In the USA we had wave of incidents where over 45 million of customers data from Target ( Walmart like store) was stolen. Wells Fargo had a similar case. Paper/ Analog passports are just fine.
As and abject lesson in the stupidity of this idea, I can't answer the questionnaire: I must have Facebook, Twitter, Google or e-ID to do so, or register my e-mail and create an account.
I'd also like to point out that having only Facebook, Twitter and Google as the fast-track options surely must violate anti-trust issues? Shouldn't all possible social media be given the same treatment as those three?
So we have to always carry our smartphones with us and trust they do not in a critical moment malfunction, do not get stolen or damaged, battery does not run out, your storage is not down, etc etc none of the issues that tend to happen when you need to go through the passport control. And there are still people who do not have smart phones (they are expensive!), so we essentially say people do not have any rights unless they own a phone. What a "nice" business model! Already happens wirh some digital ticketing services in the US and this is a nightmare! We should not have a system that fully relies on smartphones, I have a right not to own one

We, citizen, don't hold any Stake in EU by the law not by any other means... Neither in this nazi Commission nor we have a referendum solution to abrogate all of the dirty Rules they have introduced. So we are not Lobbyist of any Corporation or Agencies interested in that data or ID.
Remind to all of us that here in EU we DO NOT HAVE A COMMON CONSTITUTION, meaning that the Commission rulings and decisions are nazifascist and illegal by their own nature.
So coming back to the above page Commission is practically saying "we ask not the citizen, we are not interested in what the EU citizen think of Digital ID, we're asking Lobbyist, Corporations, Agencies involved in the use of those technology and related data.
