The bank/central bank/government billionaire monopoly is responsible for wealth inequality worldwide. They are the scum of the Earth, enriching themselves by constantly fleecing the poorest and middle class. They also steal billions from everyone via taxpayers by claiming they are too big to fail. All central banks should be designated as terrorist groups and be sent to Guantanamo Bay for some waterboarding.
While I don't condone violence (without a trial, I'm not naive enough to think such social arrangements are possible), I do think that the root of much, yes, Evil in this world are: central banks and their willing executioners in politics and media. I do think that, however angry one is, one should not sink to their lows.
Cash is legal tender and must be accepted - payment and therefore good/service may not be witheld/denied due to customer using cash. However, /how/ the cash reaches the recipient (say you power company) is up to the one paying. Want to slip the payment in an envelope and mail it to them? Good luck, it's up to you (and if the money desn't reach them, you can't complain since mailing cash is against postal regulations...).
Now, most private businesses accept cash, especially outside city centers, barring major national retail chains. The state is required by law to always accept cash (even sum, the specific state function in question is not obligated to have change on hand so you can in theory pay with a 500:- bill for something costing 200:-) but violates this constantly, despite the supreme court for civil matters having decreed years ago that no public function may decline cash payment.
So that means the state is breaking its own rules? Naaah. It gives itself exceptions, see. Instead of accepting cash (say when visting the ER) they check your ID and send a bill to your home address.
Oh, sounds like Norway: 'cash' is legal tender and there's a legal guarantee that everyone can pay up to 1,000 NOK (c. US$ 100) in cash and receive physical change. Almost no-one does that, though, so I suppose with a bit more nudging, this will soon become a 'dead letter' of the law.
Like in Sweden, though, national digital ID is the norm in Norway, hence, on the one hand, I don't understand why people are that upset about it; granted, the potential for abuse is sky-high, and I would rather live a 'slower' life than have this digital ID stuff made de facto mandatory in the way you described it.
Moreover, once coupled to CBDCs, there's no way 'digital ID' shouldn't be considered 'dual use technology'…
Still all on track for a digital currency introduction by October this year, which will quietly enter the market, due to being overshadowed by some global event.
Then 2024 shall be an acclimation to CBDCs and cash will begin the big phase out to be gone by 2027. As far as I can tell.😉
Keep doing your good work. People need to know about the sneaky underhanded way that their future is being decided for them, because the powers that be, think they know what's best for the majority of humanity.🤨😑🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
First, they'll declare CBDCs 'cash' while quietly continuing to remove the option to actually use cash. In a few months or years, they'll change these rules.
Thank you, my friend, for reading and esp. for your kind words. Stay strong!

Sounds like here, honestly.

Reason given is "to combat crime"...
