"Be angry, but channel your anger into something productive, such as self-government." Yes, very good advice.

All the useful idiots will be thrown under the bus while Act II continues. And so on until the play ends. There will always be those lusting for their 15 minutes, and the zealots.

Edit to add: still, it’s good to see them fall. Can’t wait for Fauci, the CDC leadership, FDA, entire Biden administration, etc., to have their turn. I guess. I suppose it’s a bit vengeful of me, which likely isn’t good.

Well put, my friend, and however much I dislike the notion, I fear that you're correct about the medium-term trajectory.

That picture... modern cameras being what they are it is impossible for a person with normal psychology to not be caught out by the camera.

Because that face dr Mückstein is making, that is the face of a man betrayed. A man sacrificed.

I'm just surprised it wasn't all pre-written. "Due to the enormous workload of the past two years, combating the Covid pandemic at all hours, I feel I need to take time out to spend with my family and loved one", that kind of tripe.

By the by, are there any efforts in Austria or Germany to investigate how Covid hit migrant communities, the impoverished, homeless and so on? Because that should, going by the older political playbook, be right in the wheelhouse for communists, greens, and other radicals, seeing as tokenism and fetischism are (or were) at the core of their rethoric.

In Germany, there is almost no digging into how Covid affects specific groups. Danger of presenting a result that someone else might call racist is too high.

At one point, Lothar Wieler (head of the RKI) mentioned that more than 50% of Covid ICU patients were migrants. He had to backpedal quickly, and that was that.

Oh yes, same here in Scandinavia and in Central Europe. Let's not think, hear, or say anything lest the woke ogres storm the ramparts of reason.

It's--the decline of the west.

It's very insulting to call them "Greens" as that reminds them about nuclear power and prosperity, which they hate. Instead you should call them something recycled and organic. I suggest "Pukes".

Well put, I like this one.

In Austria, there used to be a comparable saying abou the post-WW2 socialists: outwardly pink, so the saying went, they remained brown (Nazi) sympathisers inside. And here's the 'kicker': we use(d) to call that kind of post-WW2 'socialist' party member/sympathiser 'Punschkrapfen Socialist', whereby punschkrapfen is a traditional punch cake (akin to petit four in France) that is, well, covered in pink sugar coating/icing and inside you find a deliciously rum-flavoured and cocoa-brown dough.

On that punch cake, see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punschkrapfen

Well, as I said before, I remain wary.

I found that picture in the above-linked Kronen-Zeitung piece, and I did find it very telling, indeed. I'm glad you 'liked' it, too.
