Twenty-five years of studies, now topped off by three more years of studies and experience: Masks are ineffective for protection from respiratory viruses. If you say, “Corona is surging; wear a mask!”, then you are either an evil person or a frightened idiot.

That would be true, unless you are acting under duress. Unfortunately, I live in an area where both examples flourish. Health care workers are required by their employer or some gov’t mandate. Others just follow their example. But many others are just marking their political ‘virtue’. I try to be polite. It is hard.
