"Insane levels of trust in government show a rather immature population...,"

In 2021, I experienced the following:

1. A man in his late 70s asked me why would govts lie to us! I was so stunned, I was literally speechless.

2. An Argentinian immigrant in his late 50s said the Australian govts care for us. He compared them favourable to Argentina!

3. A man won't accept that "no jab, no job" was forced. On another occasion a woman has the same view! I cut off immediately, telling her we have nothing to talk about. she iwas slightly miffed.

On a beautiful sunny day in SW Sydney today I saw a solo driver with his mask on. A masked mother masked her two little kids outdoors!

Your comment about the Norwegian people immaturity (or credulousness) reminds me of a news article in Japan the other week. The article stated that Friday and Saturday are the most popular days for getting boosters. An ā€œexpertā€ opined that this was probably because people expected to be too sick to work for one or days after the jab, so by suffering the side-effects over the weekend, they wouldnā€™t need to take time off work.

The expert then proudly said this showed the national characteristic of ā€œmajimeā€ (offen translated as serious/businesslike). I too think it shows a national characteristic, but not in a good way.

Willing unquestioning compliance is not being educated and making choices, it is a sure sign of being indoctrinated. Absolutely positively fascism, the Viking way of governing has been terminated!

Or, once the trust has been exposed to the suffering and death from the spike shot, then all fascist bets are off as Vikings seize back their power from these international fascists. I don't know, just imagining a proper Viking response.

Oh my stars and garters, that picture! It's on par with John Wayne playing Genghis Khan, or Sidney Poitier's portrayal of Almansur in The Long Ships. (both me and my wife likes real turkeys of a movie).

I'd not call the norwegians immature, but innocent and optimistic instead, as compared to swedes and finns. For the longest of times, we could trust our governements, no matter what parties they were made up out of, to put kith and kin and nation first.

After the triumph of neo-liberalism and Greenspan's et consortes policies for "free trade", our leaders no longer serve the ideal of a better nation for their people, but othher masters and other ideals, in which it doesn't matter which people (volk) and which kultur inhabits a given area: all are equal as consumer/producers.
