It’s a new religion.

Or an old, dated, and putrefying one (Socialism), depending on your timescales. And it's as scary as the older vintage, I'd add.

Thank you, Stephan, for bringing this up.

I have heard about this but tried to block it out of my mind. What a screwed up fanatical mind would come up with something like this - for children!!!

This garbage is scary for adults, one can only place it in the category of “Kindeswohlgefährdung“.

Problem is, as I see it, is that calling on the state's child protective services to intervene would rather more likely result in one's children being dragged away to some kind of foster parents like the Habeck-Paluch dream team, as opposed to literally anything else.

Did you click on the excerpts? The illustrations, which I refuse to re-publish here for reasons of sanity (as well as IP infringement), are even worse than the text in my opinion.

Oh, to be her editor!

Ahem, I remember similar screeds from the 1970s - about nuclear power and weapons, about the glory of Kambodja and China where everyone was equal and happy and free, and about the - at the same time - superhightech Utopia of technophiliac futuristic communism made real via modern machines and the back-to-nature communal living units.

Even to a child, it is obvious that it's complete nonsense: who built all those walkways and roads and houses on the cover? How were materials transported? How is waste handled? And how are the ones who don't fit in treated, whether criminals or just contrarian - and what counts as crime in Utopia?

A clever teacher will use such books to teach children to be wary of what said book preaches.

The other day, Austrian state broadcaster ORF brought a piece about Venezuela declaring annexation of part of her neighbour Guyana a 'border dispute'.

It is, of course, quite a different view from, say, how ORF slants its 'reporting' about, say, Ukraine or the clusterf*** in Gaza, but then again, since Mr. Maduro is a 'good guy' in the mould you relate above, I suppose anything goes…

😱🤡😂 this might just take the prize for me. That politicians come out with mad policies we expect by now, and journalists vying for being the best follower and pusher of narratives, but this... Insanity and cruelty on many levels. Not sure whether to laugh or cry... thank you for making us aware.
