It's genius.

Israel's leadership has realised that they are rapidly losing support in USA and Europe (and the rest of the world is perfectly indifferent) - the wave of marches, well-organised, in direct contravention of national laws on "hate-speech" without police doing anything much than arresting those who protested /against/ the "kill all the jews"-marches; the presence of palestiniansor their mouth-oieces and supporters in all communist, liberal and socialist democrat parties in the entire EU and the same in the upper echelons of the Democrat party (not to mention US academia and media) - all that must have been a real cold shower.

By flying the pedophile-flag over Gaza, using it as a symbol of them triumphing over palestinians, Hamas and islam (because that is how the palestinians and their supporters will see it), they further inflame and incense moslems of all sorts but especially arabs all over the world, most importantly the West, making the moslems show their true colours if you pardon the expression.

For Israel, it's a win/win no matter the fallout from using the pedophile-flag as a symbol of their victory.

Exactly, it's excellent in terms of pushing all the 'right' buttons at the same time.

As an aside (I'm too lazy to look for the link), Hungary is the host for Israeli 'home' football games right now. Ever wonder why Israelis consider Mr. Orbán's Hungary the safest choice for this?

Hehe, it's certainly a poke in the eye of the major EU, and Sweden especially - it is wellknown among israeli politicos that our Socialist Democrat party has long-standing ties to PLO, Fatah, Hamas and Hezbollah, including financial support under the guise of foreign aid.

The old party-paper, Aftonbladet (which was openly pro-nazi during WW2), has regularly published the usual anti-jewish urban legends of baby-stealing in updated form (organ harvesting from prisoners) and there's currently a little tiff going on because representatives from the Moderate party (incumbent) have pointed out that prominent socialist democrats of palestinian origin have participated in meetings and confenrences with Hamas-personnel.

Mrs Andersson the party leader defended this by spreading lies about one such palestinian having lost his entire family in Gaza - 36 people. Turns out, he has two children, both born in Swden and accounted for.

Israel have in years past even declared then-minister of foreign affairs Margot Wahlström (SocDem) persona non grata in perpetuity in Israel, and the party has been calling Orbán a nazi ever since he took office.

Popcorn-time, as the yanks say.

pedophile flag - 🤣

That is so bizarre.

There cab be no mistake about it, it's designed to anger Muslims. There is no other reason for it.

Most Christians have given up on this subject.

I think it's also about triggering a knee-jerk reaction from among the juste milieu, you know, the woke do-gooders and their ilk, to avoid them siding with the Palestinians.

Oh, wait.

Yeah, that really backfired didn't it? 😂🤣

Those on the left who pushed the circular logic game, AKA, intersectionality, forgot one important component. Intersectionality was designed to thwart logical arguments. It was never designed to "convince" anyone of anything, only to invoke an emotional response and action. Now the leftists who pushed this nonsense don't like the response, and there's no way to "reason" with those with whom they disagree.

The left effectively rigged their own social game against themselves here.

It's not so much a "Told you so" moment, as it is a "How did you ever think this could really work?" moment. Because everything on the left is largely based on lies, or at best half truths. It is only a matter of time before all of it comes to a head, because the reality of the "sold" situation doesn't come to pass.

It's like those people predicting the end of the world -- multiple times. You can only be wrong so many times, before even the stupidest people say, "Yeah, I'm not buying it."

Two brief comments: first, I'm with you about the whole scam masquerading as 'intersectionality'; it's BS (apologies to cows), and 'cause it's illogical, of course one cannot 'reason' with these people (as their arguments were not grounded in reality but wishful thinking--it's called the 'dialectic').

As to the 'told you so' vs. 'How did you ever think this could really work?' issue, secondly, I doubt these people ever thought that far, if only because they're delusional in terms of their analysis as the 'dialectic', being composed of a 'thesis' (reality) + 'antithesis' (their utopian wishful thinking) = 'synthesis' has but one true variable (reality).

You write: 'It's like those people predicting the end of the world -- multiple times. You can only be wrong so many times, before even the stupidest people say, "Yeah, I'm not buying it."'

Sure, but it seems that this'll take some more time with the crazy lefties, eh?

I think I would be much more interested in a statistical analysis of how many of the "Palestinian queer activists" she met back then are now dead (as in, somehow-fell-from-a-roof dead) or in Palestinian prison.

Hahahaha, good one (although I'm the first to admit that it's a, if not the, quite important question to ask).

Actually, "Conflict is not abuse" came later, after the 2014 "Brother's keeper" operation. The uncritical painting of Palestinians as guiltless victims as the main example througout the book disturbed me when reading it (the basic idea that "conflict is not abuse" is actually quite an insight for someone on the woke left). Just take this quote from Ch. 8:

"What made this assault different from previous events against Palestinians, or against other oppressed but pathologized people, was that it unfolded before our eyes, live on social media. Whereas in the past we were dependent on corporate television and print press to provide information and context, the killing of Gaza took place on Twitter and Facebook, at a level of graphic detail that made it possible to bypass official reports. Palestinians, who had been shunned and were therefore invisible to Americans, were now being seen and heard at the apex of human suffering. The events were brought to bear in a manner that was not available during other historical turning points of cruelty. As Palestinian-American filmmaker Nadia Awad said to me, “Imagine if the Holocaust had unfolded on Facebook, or slavery.” I thought about the Warsaw Ghetto uprising and liquidation, a direct comparison to the killing in Gaza, displayed live for all to see."

Just replace "Palestinians" by "Israelis" in that paragraph, think of Oct 7, 2023, and see all the madness of our world.
