A striking aspect of the 1999 NATO-Yugoslavia conflict is the wild mismatch between its significance and the way it has been rendered invisible, at least in the U.S.
This isn’t just because it’s a quarter century in the past now: unlike adventures such as Iraq, the mass-opinion-making machine has always been deployed to make sure there is no mass opinion about this event at all. To quote Harold Pinter, “It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest.”
One correction: the humanitarian bombing lady is Samantha Power, not Powell.
In order to save ourselves we must first realize we are all ruled by the worst criminals that have ever walked the Earth. Our politicians and bureaucrats are servants of these criminals. When we use "we" and "us" we give legitimacy to an illegitimate system. It is long overdue that we begin to use "they" and "them" as a way to distance ourselves from an utterly illegitimate system. 70% of Americans are against supporting a continuation of the war in Ukraine and the rest are brainwashed by Ministry of Truth. With mere unplugging from the information Matrix we could have a much larger percentage against the war. Regardless how many people are against something, the system will do what Criminals desire. Ordinarily this would mean an instant loss of legitimacy of the political system. A large reason for our current situation is because we continue using terms of "we" and "us", we internalize their crimes as our own. Yes, the people of the West are culpable for being stupid and going along with the system; the system has no need to moderate in any ways. But this culpability is of the lower variety than of those Criminals at the top of the pyramid. It is time we distance ourselves from Criminals. They aren’t even "our" criminals. They have nothing to do with us except that we grant them the right to rule over us.
We are ruled by both the worst criminals and the most moronic people of all time. In times past, morons didn't stand a chance to rule (for long), today, however, it looks that this is the crucial thing that has changed.
I agree. Their puppets and servants are drawn from the bottom of humanity’s barrel. They are indeed moronic but also in most cases very compromised in some fashion. This is one the a critical quality for advancement.
First WHO then NATO perhaps: Thanks to Dr Yeadon, we now know that there never was any Covid Pandemic - that was just the seasonal Flu and nothing else and that The WHO and our governments dressed it up as a Covid Pandemic to scare as many people into getting vaccinated as possible, so everyone in the know, knew that the Covid Pandemic was a fake.
No- It has just occurred to me that the deliberate execution of everyone who volunteered has occurred before. After World War One 1914-1918 there was the Spanish Flu, same as with Covid - everyone who had the Spanish Flu Vaccine later died, but all of those who refused it lived. It was said that the Spanish Flu killed off as many more, as The Great War itself did, so to keep us under control, those at the very top, take it upon themselves to murder us off, in our Millions from time to time, to keep "our" numbers down - and who are they, well the Bankers as in Rothschild's and those at the very top, who are part of that Global Cabal, we think we know is there and now we know they are - so somehow we have to "disband" them too, don't we, after all What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander as well, or at least this time and those that serve them and made this extermination of us possible.
So this time around, it does not matter your position in the paid work you do, you are up for the chop and they can and will kill you, because they can and will. No malice intended.
Interesting point, esp. as most death, via the CDC's website, a century ago were caused by (secondary) pneumonia, as opposed to, you know, a respiratory illness.
At the heart of the matter lies something even worse. Eugenical racism.
It was from England and USA the "scientific" brand of political racism was invented, as a way to explain why the two liberal capitalist lighthouses of the world had worse infant mortality than virtually enywhere else on the planet during the closing decades of the 19th century (300 in 1 000 births in the worst areas of London in the late 1800s).
If liberal capitalism was so good, so much better than worker's rights - then where did all the poverty come from? Certainly not as necessary consequence of capitalism. But if the working class and the lumpenproletariat - called working poor today - could be said to be deserving of their fate because it was due to their biology they couldn't all be Rockefellers?
Then it wasn't the system's fault, and hence not the capitalist class' fault, nor their obligation (as christians to boot!) to care for their fellow man.
This logic was then immediately extended to explain why some races were superior and why some were inferior. And it was adopted by socialists too, once they started to gain momentum for real after 1917. And the rest is history.
But among the elites of Washington DC and London remains an attitude that they are superior beings. Thus, the more different from them someone is, the greater the range of acceptable actions. Dropping nuclear bombs on Germany? Unthinkable - it is after all full of germans that are to be the first line in the meatgrinder against the Red Army. But Japan? It's just full of japanese, not real people.
That is I think the underlying reason, now part of the subconsciousness of USUK politics, why Serbia could be treated the way it was.
I don't think the average american citizen agrees with the logic of their leaders. I think they are as sick of it as the rest of the world. It's just that their leaders are oh so very good at playing on the strings of american exceptionalism and jingoism - just look at how they talk about free trade when free trade isn't to the US' advantage. Out the window goes their ideals in favour of mercantilistic protectionism.
One of the greatest mistakes of all of Europe is us believing in the english and their american offspring when they claim to actually believe in the ideals they propagandise. That is why the USUK axis hates and fears China, India, Russia and Iran (BRICS in general in fact): they know that the russians et c no longer believe in them, in any way or sense. I suspect Serbia is much the same, for good reason.
If only more people would consider Machiavelli's words on alliances.
Yes, Machiavelli is alive, well and up close in the smiling USUK alliances, but hidden less carefully from those who have switched off the TV and the BBC..
The longer I reflect on it, the more I think that Serbia is punished because it's 'plausibly sell-able'. It's like a schoolyard bully's repeat victim to show that he's 'still in charge'.
Cuba is old news and not relevant to any european nation, purely a remnant of Cold War and the US mafia's co-ownership with Batista's of the island, as a money-laundering operation.
DPRK is too alien and unrelatable to europeans and doesn't evoke any "it could happen here"-feeling.
But Serbia is perfect. It tells all the europan nations what their place is under Pax Americana.

Thanks for spotting the typo, fixed it.
As to Mr Pinter, the same could be said about novelist Peter Handke who, too, saw through the spin in the 1990s and waa vilified ever since

Perhaps we should investigate the ties between the WHO and NATO?

Which means: living in truth, to paraphrase Václav Havel, is a choice, isn't it?
The longer I reflect on it, the more I think that Serbia is punished because it's 'plausibly sell-able'. It's like a schoolyard bully's repeat victim to show that he's 'still in charge'.
Yep. That's the entire point:
Cuba is old news and not relevant to any european nation, purely a remnant of Cold War and the US mafia's co-ownership with Batista's of the island, as a money-laundering operation.
DPRK is too alien and unrelatable to europeans and doesn't evoke any "it could happen here"-feeling.

Plus there’s the ‘these troublemakers have a history of, well, being problematic’ that ‘even’ precedes the US empire.
