>Palma 37 degrees, Porreres 38 degrees, Llucmajor 40 degrees

If this is considered 'life-threatening' everyone in Australia would be dead every summer - and our houses are also total sh*t in terms of building standards for cooling. Don't people in the EU realise there is a Southern Hemisphere?

This is just silly.

Oh, you should see all these news outlets this summer; as early as spring, some 'scientist™' predicted a 'summer from hell'…

People in the EU are about as knowledgeable about the rest of the world as people in the US and Canada; most people from elsewhere are a bit smarter.

And, yes, this is utter BS and totally bonkers, but then again, 'we' just held EU-wide elections, with U. von der Leyen being rammed through the EU's 'parliament™' literally with the votes of just about any but the 'far-right™' factions.

This is beyond silly, it's insane.

Don't worry. Next election I predict Australia will elect the right(tm) because of the economy(tm) and those of us who blow the whistle on the resulting tyranny will be thrown in all those empty camps while everyone cheers.

Sounds like a very plausible scenario.

In Austria, the 'far-right™' is leading all polls for over a year; consequently, all other (loser) parties vow to 'prevent the right™'. Centre-right (polling a distant 2nd) and centre-left (polling a close 3rd) are reportedly conspiring, together with a small-ish liberal-in-name-only faction (needed to get the first two above the 50% of rep's threshold), to do so.

The result will be the same.

Did you see the article I published about the French elections? A young man wrote a nice opinion on it - he did a great job. https://vicparkpetition.substack.com/p/young-frenchman-speaks-there-is-no

Young Frenchman speaks: “There is no future for young people in France.”

Or they also believe in this kind of nonsense, mainly because their funding depends on it.

This is good background climate information 🙏 and excellent reading thank you Epimetheus. It is timely to share it with some of jabbed, who are desperately heading to holiday Spain for rest but worried if they’re well enough and worried about catching that damn virus again…

Thank you for the kind words.

Well, stay tuned for the follow-up posting tomorrow, which is about…well, you'll see (but equally moronic).

Interesting reading Epimetheus, thanks. It's all bonkers, isn't it. It's ok for us, we can see through it, I do feel for those who can't and we have to keep chipping away at it to expose the gaslighting.

"Substack says this posting is ‘too long for email’. Act accordingly."

Not for me through Thunderbird. Maybe they want more direct traffic.

Go figure.

Thank you for the kind words.

It's (of course, I'm almost tempted to say) bonkers, no doubt about that. I sometimes wonder what it takes to stay 'in the matrix' or the like, but then again, I think it requires one crucial thing: action, self-conscious and self-directed action. The first step. Use any phrase you like, but our entire 'education™' system is creating people ('graduates') who are told, time and again, to 'trust the experts™'.

2014 was extremely hot and dry in parts of Sweden. Even at 1200 meters altitude, the temperature at mid-day exceeded 25C, some days even 30C. The normally rather cold fjell-lakes were warm, over 20C water temperature at the surface (and the normal 10C a meter down...).

We were out hiking in the fjells during this.

Anyway. Point being, there wasn't any bump in deaths. When you - for any number of reasons - are highly vulnerable, then virtually any drastic influence may kill you. If not heat then dehydration, or being dizzy from heat causing you to tumble down a staircase, or...

It is the same confusion and conflation as with Covid and such: the actual danger of the external event/thing is jumbled up with the susceptability of the victim. Stupid, it is, and I worry for the future when researchers and "scientists" no longer seem to understand such basic things as exposure/frequency over time, or differing susceptability (I recall my oldest aunt who was an apothecary and pharmacist lamenting that pharmaceutical companies made medicines with fixed concentrations per dose, where a real old-school Apotek would instead mix it up according to prescription from doctor, suited to the individual patient).

"Drink X amount of water every day" they bleat. Oh? I weigh about 100 kilos and am in good shape, excepting injuries. My wife is close to half my weight. Yet, we are supposed to need the same amount?

Completely unrelated, barring the stupidity and arrogance of it all:

The swedish MSB ,the agency for crisis preparedness, yesterday came out on state television with advice for how people are to get food in case supply-chains are disrupted during war or similar:

"Go into the forest and pick berries and mushrooms"

Let that sink in. That is the level of competence on display.
