Why No-One Should Vote for 'The Loyal Opposition™' Anymore: A Case Study in Ignorance and Tyranny
Three Years into 'The Pandemic™' and Two Years into the Failed Mass Injection Campaign, Mainstream Left-of-Centre Politicians Still Don't 'Get It'
This is a Sunday Special Follow-Up to my—so far three-part—series on the End of Covidistan, the country formerly known as Austria. Please find these three instalments here: Part 1; Part 2; Part 3.
Today, I’ve got a special piece for you, dear readers: a mainstream left-of-centre political hack who—three years after ‘The Pandemic™’ was announced, and two years after the ‘Mass Injection Campaign’ commended, is still in favour of forced vaccination, as reported by tabloid Heute. On this 12 March 2023.
As always, translation and emphases mine, and so are the bottom lines.
SPÖ Politician: ‘We Should Have Pushed Through On the Vaxx Mandate’
Three years after the outbreak of the pandemic, Klaus Luger, mayor of Linz draws a damning balance. He takes the federal government to task.
Every Thursday, at 5 p.m., the city leader Klaus Luger (SPÖ) gets the Corona traffic light update on his mobile phone [it’s a bit like the ‘terror warning lights’]. He himself heavily criticised the model when it was introduced.
Luger still in favour of compulsory vaccination
And he goes even further: the compulsory vaccination, which was promulgated but never implemented, ‘should have been enforced’, says Luger. He calls the immunisation campaign a ‘communicative own goal’, but he says it is not the main reason for the potential conflict among the population. The mayor is still in favour of this measure.
His assessment: the federal government had only done a solid job in the first few months. But from the summer of 2020 at the latest, the performance had continuously deteriorated.
Above all, he sharply criticises the ‘communication fiasco’ during the lockdowns. Those responsible had followed a ‘politically motivated zigzag course’. Expectations were raised that could not be fulfilled. Unforced errors had led to an extreme loss of confidence among the population. [This is too big a topic to discuss here, so please see below]
‘Data Chaos’
Luger cites the examples of entry bans or night-time curfews. The city leader also criticised the ‘data chaos’: different federal and state agencies had published widely differing figures on the incidence of infection [as if getting this right would have allowed ‘them’ to push for mandatory jabs, or a ‘Pandemic™’ at-all].
To this day, there are many weaknesses in digitalisation, and Luger points to the current one-size-fits-all subsidy scheme to combat inflation. ‘The Ministry of Finance cannot co-relate budget data and thus cannot introduce a budget cap for energy subsidies’, Luger told the Oberösterreichische Nachrichteni [what is meant here is means-testing of federal support for those hit with an increase in their utility bills by the factor of 4 or 5 this winter].
The interplay of all these factors, he said, had led to dramatic divisions among the population that continue to this day. He could observe this not only in the Corona demos on the main square, which often take place on Fridays [while it remained outside the piece, what Mr. Luger meant by the ‘but also’ wording is, of course, the massive increase in the cost-of-living.
For Whom the Annual Vaccination [vs. Covid] is Advisable
The National Immunisation Consortium has not yet revealed what will happen with the Covid vaccination. For virologist Norbert Nowotny, however, there is already a very clear picture on this:
Corona is simply a viral respiratory infection more, which in terms of severity is to be classified between flu-like infection and real flu—or similar to real flu.
Bottom Lines
This is way too stupid. I mean, it’s more than three years now.
As to the ‘communication disaster’, well, these pages here are as good a place to start uncovering this fake history; out of the many dedicated postings—please make use of the search function and go for ‘Covidistan’ or ‘Covidistan Annals’:
Here’s what I wrote back in Dec. 2021 on the 'power grab’ masquerading as ‘vaxx mandate’:
These weren’t ‘unforced communication errors’.
This was government policy, supported whole-heartedly by the Social Democrats and the liberal-in-name-only NEOS.
Don’t let people like Mr. Luger get away with these lunatic attempts to rewrite history.
As regards history, when I saw that piece in Heute, I thought of this Trotsky quote (my modification):
Everyone has a right to be stupid, but Mayor Luger abuses the privilege.
ANY politician advocating payments to the public in order to fight inflation is unfit for office. You don’t pump money into the economy to fight inflation, doing so is a leading cause of inflation. Doing more of the same only makes matters worse.
Anyone with a passing knowledge of economics knows this.
I’m amazed that any rational person is still pushing the shots....Much less decrying the lack of mandate enforcement.
This individual doesn’t have the knowledge or temperament to be in a position of authority in a democratic state.
