If these jokers were serious about petrochemical pollution and energy usage, they'd recommend the dismantling of ALL military forces and facilities. There should be an outright BAN on all forms of military intervention - regardless of country or State. Military agenda and operations consume more energy and Natural resource than any other multiple of industry. It's all bullshit, and most people know it's bullshit.

Exactly.

I've written so much about this by now, it boggles the mind--yet people fall for this nonsense, it's hard to believe. Did you catch the one piece, by the way, in which the gov't agency that labelled the 'energy efficiency' of Norway's building stock was caught using fake data (sic) since 2017?

Needless to say, while the mislabelling--real-world data (available, incidentally, since 2017 when so-called S.M.A.R.T. meters became mandatory) shows that the fake data used by the regulatory agency was, partially, more than 100% off; the entire real estate market is, of course, totally mis-priced…

Needless to say, no-one ended up in a court room. Tells you all you need to know, really.

"SMART" meters have been notoriously inaccurate, and is exactly why they were *forced* upon the public. I've heard of billings that were inflated 300% above previous analog metering. Guess who pays the bills? Guess who never had a choice?

"SMART" devices also emit loads of EMF, sickening many persons with sensitivities to EMF emissions. The symptoms mirror symptoms of "long covid" but no one wishes to address that issue either. Let's everyone ignore the 10,000 studies linking damaged health to EMF poisoning...

The energy consumption footprint of surveillance systems alone, dwarfs any savings that may be possible via upgrades to housing and civil infrastructure. Your linked article was very well done, and your snark is appreciated... Best regards.

Oh, I don't deny that these abominations are shitty and problematic, but they're also the 'gold standard' of these people--and even their data (which hasn't been 'peer-reviewed' to my knowledge) shows the fraud clearly. Needless to say, nothing has changed, no-one went to court, and the fraud continues.

Talk about the definition of insanity…

You can think of the man what you want but Trump at least gave the UN what-for in yesterday's address. I'm pretty sure the crayon chewers there are in denial, but as he said "the truth always wins". Sure, he's driven by his oil & gas industry buddies, as per the usual playbook.

But why should that be worse than being driven by the "renewables investors/industry"? Speaking of "renewable": what a big, fat agitprop euphemism (to not use the L word as in lie).

Energy policy has been driven to insanity by the Obama/Biden administrations aplenty - to the now known effects of grid insecurity in several US states, same as the madness in Europe in the biggest culprits.

Windmills are the biggest ideological miscreation due to their lack of:

- safety for population & wildlife due to wreckage (no issues there for the nutcases who always see the next meltdown on the horizon, a dropped rotor blade or toppling wind tower, big whoop!)

- construction cost (more expensive than they'll ever output, ie you pay more than you get for sure)

- environmental fallout (using materials for which recycling is a nightmare)

- still vastly denied environmental ultrasound hazards (the greens drop their masks best when they need to argue in favor of these bird mulchers and fish / whale killers without their heads exploding)

- energy dependability - worst of them all.

- eyesore and destrution of natural vistas everyhwere they pop up (and they are being placed in nature reserves, no issues there again, by the same greens)

And all for the appearance of "doing something" against a changing climate and to move a fantasy number by 1-2 degrees. In 20 years they can either say "see: we did it" or "hmmm, that didn't work" (if temperature goes up despite all the insane efforts).

This will go down in the history books as the most mal-informed period of human energy policy.

The saddest part is that whole nations are now getting dragged down by sheer ideological madness into a energy poor period that will likely be one of the causes of a severe recession if not depression in parts of Europe by my reckoning.

As a tangent to the Green boondoggle. there are problems emerging with wind power, that were 100% foreseeable. Namely this:

The towers rust. There's no such thing as rust-proof, there's only mitigating and delaying the onset of rust and other oxidisation-processes.

The towers create condensation on the inside and despite lining, coating and heating, not all condensation evaporates - as every home/car-owner knows. And it gathers and builds up in tiny recesses, year over year.

Now imagine the potential trouble with towers out in the ocean. (This is where wind-power believers point to some collection of ocean-sited towers and go "whatboutthose")

Yeah, what about those? How do they look, inside? How much is spent on keeping them going?

Oh my, it seems very difficult to find data on that. Wonder why.

Oh, and Germany just mandated that the reinforced concrete foundations must also be removed entirely upon decommissioning of any individual windmill…

I'm sure that makes the investment even "better" - everyone will hope that they do not need to dig up that foundation in their lifetime I guess... because you can stick the bill to whoever needs to do the digging later on.

Genius.

Perhaps the foundations are to become a new Höckerlinie to stop the anticipated push by Russian forces...

Removing and destroying them emits just as much or more "greenhouse" gasses than production does.

Genius.

Why don't they build fallout shelters into these foundations? Now, that would be the perfect ruse to keep them…

Climate change is real. Man-made climate change is complete BS. Earth Orbital Mechanics, the Sun’s various cycles, aka “Sun weather”, and ocean currents are the real drivers of climate change. The economic destruction caused by Net Zero will generally prevent it from being adopted. But, in some cases, it will still happen and people will die.
