Just like that, the Berliner Zeitung is discussing™ mass (replacement) immigration, pointing eventually to France, held to be 'perhaps ten years ahead of the Germans on the road to civil war'.
I am surprised a German paper is openly discussing the obvious consequences from mass immigration. That fact alone is indeed a sign of progress, or will the author now be character-assassinated and destroyed as the worst of all?
The scariest part is the acknowledgement at the end: 'civil war' will not be like, say, the Russian or Spanish Revolution of last century; it looks like the Hobbesian war of all against all.
It paints a scary scenario and seems a logical prediction when former high trust societies erode into something we effectively refuse or dear not debate in the public room. You are a brave man bringing light to many controversial issues. All the best.
while many young Germans are determined to make their voices heard in a debate that could directly affect their generation, the timing is, of course, most interesting: the next war in the ME just broke out and conscription is about to become compulsory? what could go wrong, indeed.
Well, Merz said it once again, Germany will wage war on Israel's side: I doubt that NATO and other planners would mind sending Germans to fight for the Chabad kabal in Persia…
being cynical one might ask who'd want Germans to fight for.... for anything, really: we all know how they fared in the previous wars, so perhaps thank you, but no thank you! nobody should ever be made to fight on anyone else's behalf, is what I mean. proxies are toxic, mob style.
Certainly not a wanted competition to reach the bottom but I’m curious as to how the UK fare in this ranking (my current abode).
Decades earlier immigration did integrate (to a point) so feels like although big problems it’s only been what 10-15 years of the “young single men” import (whom of course then bring the whole village).
And Sweden (my old abode) another different picture. No real immigration to talk about in the olden days (odd Korean orphan adopted or Persian family) then open gates but a different mileue to the UK - hardly any Indian/pakistani far more Somalian, Albanian etc and very highly organised crime…
Just trying to work out the differences and overlaps in my mind. Islam is an overlap for sure, immigration from low trust societies also.
So same civil war everywhere just subtly different triggers?!
Apologies for my scattered Saturday morning (there went my peace) musings.
* willingness to integrate vs. unwillingness (I suppose many Moslems to fall into this category)
There won't be clear-cut boundaries/factions like in the past (e.g., Spain in the 1930s), but it's more likely to resemble South Africa after the end of Apartheid, I fear.
looking at the emptied ghost towns, there in name only, in the once thriving rural regions in France shows exactly where we won't wish to go. the (unvetted) immigration of under-educated, jobless foreigners burdens under-facilitated urban centers, leads to dramatic social discohesion and has not been a contributing factor to 'develop' anything. welcome to Europe's inner workings.
The main issue I perceive is that even if, say, 80 or more per cent of the population will gravitate towards (15 minute) cities, the powers-that-be won't leave the rest in the countryside in peace.
Tyranny works best if there's no alternative (which, incidentally, appears to be Christ's inherently subversive teaching: render unto Caesar…but the soul belongs to the Lord speaks to free will, autonomy, and the sovereign individual, however sinful he or she may live his or her life: to adjudicate that, it's up to a higher authority, but to pay taxes while retaining one's spiritual autonomy is anathema to the forces of Evil at-work).

But they tell you it's not *that* (replacement).

I doubt that semi-anonymously ranting on the internet renders me a brave man.

Looks like Germany is going ...going......gone!
And France is firmly in the lead.

Unsure about triggers, but here are my 2 cents:
* urban-rural divide
* high-trust vs. low-trust backgrounds
* willingness to integrate vs. unwillingness (I suppose many Moslems to fall into this category)

YOU got that right!
Perhaps they will even dare move on to talk about what the term "multiculturalism" means?
I doubt it, for that would rather immediately reveal the intent…
