Footnote: Bye-Bye Bandera Burger, Welcome 'Homestyle Guacemole' Burger
It took McD's about two weeks to 'invent' a totally classy and overwhelmingly innovative sales pitch for their defunct Bandera campaign
This is the final footnote in this charade masquerading as PR campaign on part of McDonald’s. it started a few weeks ago when I noticed that these burger joints were selling ‘Bandera Burgers’ in Norway.
So I wrote their ‘customer service’ and employed their fear of righteous retribution on part of the wokesteria. Funny, how it turned out, to make a big corporation turn on a dime, if only the possible wrath of the woke hipster communes—a herd of independent minds, it seems—could be mobilised against these machinations more often…
This footnote, then, concludes this particular saga with a brief follow-up to my enquiry to McD’s a while ago. Over the weekend, I saw that these billboards had changed, and also their website tells a new story here:

I haven’t seen any statement on their FB page, so I guess their ‘smart peoples in advertising’ division thought it might be better not to say anything (which might as well have been a ‘good call’…)
