Footnote: as predicted three weeks ago, conductors now mock Vienna’s mask mandates on public transport
Meet Dominik Berghofer who complained about an absurd PA announcement on a local rain yesterday--which prompted an 'investigation' by the Austrian Federal Railways and boosted his ego
In one of my recent posts on Covidistan madness, I mentioned, in a somewhat satirical manner, the utmost absurdity of Vienna’s tougher mandates. These include, in particular, the requirement to wear a FFP2 mask (KN-95) while riding public transport.
Back in late May, I ridiculed this patent absurdity by making up the following statement:
Attention all passengers! Due to mandatory mask requirements against the deadly disease that is Covid-19, and since we are just crossing the state line from NJ to NY, please comply with the current guidelines and regulations with respect to masks. Thank you, and have a safe trip.
And now—this has happened: a very woke (and then some) passenger took offence yesterday while aboard a local train that was about to cross the state line from Lower Austria (no mask mandates on public transport) into Vienna (FFP2 masks required). Never shy to virtue-signal his (?) ‘values’, Bird Poop reservation inhabitant Dominik J. Berghofer #NoCovid #YesImpfpflicht [Vaxx Mandate] recorded the below announcement:
According to Viennese authorities, the evil, evil virus is now back on board. The only way to protect ourselves and everyone else is to wear our nice FFP2 mask again. So, please everyone, join in and wear your mask again. Thank you for your cooperation and have a great Sunday.
Please take a moment and celebrate with me—my powers of foresight are awesome (/sarcasm).
Take a look at this moron, Mr. Berghofer: he celebrated that his Bird Dropping made it to local news (yay!), which he celebrated by directing his (?) followers on social media in the following way:
With fellow citizens like this moron, there’s no need for enemies.
Also, I fear that this moron, Mr. Berghofer, thinks that his clicktivism constitutes ‘active citizenship’, I’m probably going to sell him a couple of bridges tonight.
Thus passes the glory of the world.
*sigh*
Also, they still require masking, never N95, on public transport in Australia. It has been in place since mask mandates began - although there were some months of relaxation. Because of this requirement, I have not been to the city and other places to do sight-seeing.. Yes, I've a legal exemption. However, I don't want to attract attention and encounter some Karen/Kevin who won't accept it. Although I showed a babe cop on the day of getting signed.
Fackel,
Looking at the non-activity, perhaps you need to conserve your time by being selective with what you write.
Of course, I always welcome your posts.
