Covid in Norway--X-Mas Update
Cancelling Christmas, Covid Passports, and a Brief Note on Covid Mortality: 78% of Covid-related deaths in weeks 44-47 were "fully vaxxed", according to official data (and 95+ % among seniors)
Yesterday evening, the Norwegian government cancelled all events until Christmas due to the recent increase in Covid-related numbers; ‘measures’ include the temporary (?) installation of plexiglass shields for the upcoming session on 7 Dec., the requirement to wear a face diaper ‘if one cannot keep 1 meter [3 ft.] distance’, and the like.
While Covid-related numbers increased mainly in the country’s capital region Oslo, Vestland province, home to Norway’s second-largest city, Bergen, also announced new measures. Not to be outdone, it is now mandatory to wear a face diaper ‘if it is impossible to keep 1 meter distance in public spaces and/or on public transport’. There are furthermore ‘limits to the number of participants at private events’, mandatory contact tracing in restaurants and the like, and the obligation to quarantine with school kids who tested positive for Covid-19.
It is expected that local government, in particular the municipality of Bergen, will add on top of these national and regional measures later today.
Why now, you may ask?
Here’s Bergens Tidende, the daily of record in Norway’s second-largest city, which published this ‘reasoning’ at 00:22 a.m. today, 3 Dec. 2021:
‘In the last 24 hours, 4,140 Covid cases have been registered across Norway. This means it is 1,170 cases higher than the same day last week.
In the last seven days, an average of 3,056 Covid cases have been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 2375, so the trend is rising.
On Thursday, 262 corona patients were hospitalised. This is five more than the day before. 64 of the patients are in ICUs, and among them, 39 are on a ventilator.’
Covid Passports Are Coming Soon
Two weeks ago, on 22 Nov. 2021, I reported that Covid Passports were being reading, i.e, about to be introduced. Now, I hate to be correct on this one, but here’s a brief update on this issue from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (IPH).
Appearing ‘only’ in Norwegian at the IPH’s website, here’s the information:
‘The Covid Passport has today [1 Dec. 2021] again been given a national control side. The control side can be used locally by municipalities that want to use it as part of their measures.’
There are municipalities that already have infection control measures in place that may now use the Covid Passport…there are currently no municipalities that have introduced Covid Passports.’
Let’s see whether Oslo or Bergen introduces these abominations first.
By the way, here’s what else is on the website of Bergens Tidende linked above (my emphasis):
‘Q: The 2 who died of [sic] Covid today [2 Dec. 2021], do you know if they were unvaccinated?
A: We do not have information about the vaccination status for those who die with Covid at a hospital in Bergen.
IPH writes in its weekly report that vaccine status for 136 Covid-associated deaths is available for the last four weeks [weeks 44-47]:
“Among these, there have been 102 (75%) Covid-associated deaths among fully vaccinated, in addition to 5 deaths of partially vaccinated, and 31 (23%) deaths among unvaccinated. The proportion of fully vaccinated among Covid-associated deaths has, as expected, increased in line with the vaccination coverage as this is now very high (> 95%) in the oldest age groups.”’
Let that sink in.
Among all age brackets, 75% of all Covid-associated deaths in Norway in the past four weeks (1-28 Nov. 2021) were among the fully vaccinated.
Covid-associated mortality stands at 95% or more among the oldest age groups.
Spreading Misinformation, Bergens Tidende Edition
Also, note that the numbers are off for 102 + 5 + 31 = 138, and this is because the ‘journalist’ over at Bergens Tidende is spreads misinformation.
Why would I state this outrageous claim?
Well, because it’s true.
Here’s the referred to text, which Bergens Tidende quoted out of context:
And my translation:
‘From the beginning of the vaccination program [28 Dec. 2020] up to and including week 47, information is available on the vaccine status for 646 of Covid-associated deaths. Among these, there have been 230 (36%) deaths among fully vaccinated, 22 (3%) deaths been among partially vaccinated, and 394 (61%) deaths among unvaccinated (Table 7). For the last four weeks is information about vaccine status available for 163 covid-19 associated deaths. Among these, there have been 124 (76%) Covid-associated deaths among fully vaccinated, less than 5 deaths among partially vaccinated, and 35 (21%) deaths among unvaccinated (Table 7). The proportion of fully vaccinated among covid-19 associated deaths has as expected increase in line with vaccination coverage as this is now very high (> 95%) in the elderly age groups.’
Contrary to the typist-masquerading-as-journalist over at Bergens Tidende, I actually read the IPH’s weekly report. Here’s the actual data (taken from p. 19 of the IPH’s update):
In the past four weeks, 124 ‘fully vaccinated’ died of/with Covid vs. 35 ‘unvaccinated’; the relationship is thus 78% of the dead were ‘fully vaccinated’ vs. 22% ‘unvaccinated’.
So, there you have it: the vaccination program, inaugurated to ‘keep our seniors safe from Covid’, is a gigantic policy failure (swindle).
Let’s see how fast people catch up.
I won't hld my breath, that's for sure--I meant it rather as an expression of: there will come a time when these monstrosities can't be ignored (hidden) any longer.
Ya, don’t hold your breath.
