The one in which wemember when the Gov't stole your money (and no, for once I don't mean taxes)?
Translation and emphases mine, as are the bottom lines.
The AMS, or Arbeitsmarktservice Austria, is the federal gov’t’s labour agency for unemployed; one must not be on the official unemployment rolls to make use of their ‘services’, but one must be registered with the AMS to receive unemployment insurance compensation. Note that the latter is paid for by employees (being mandated) paying into the unemployment insurance compensation fund via tax withholding schemes—what the AMS is, in short, is a insurance company that is financed with mandatory contributions, which it has refrained from paying due to someone’s ‘vaccination status’.
Anger over AMS Ban on Unvaccinated People—’Coercive Measure’
By Paul Resetarits, Heute, 11 Feb. 2023 [source]
Despite 3G [Covid Passport] on the labour market, AMS money will be withdrawn for unvaccinated people. Heute asked around the city of Vienna what people thought about it.
The carpet is being pulled out from under the feet of unvaccinated unemployed people in Austria. The AMS initially cancels unemployment benefits [for infractions, such as ignoring their ‘suggestions’] for six weeks, and in the event of a repeat case for eight weeks. Anyone who doesn't give a damn is in a hopeless situation. According to the employment agency, employers who are looking for staff are allowed to ask applicants about the corona vaccination.
‘Incentives must be created’
Retiree Andreas believes that harsh punishments have a demotivating effect. ‘These coercive measures are not good for anyone. Other measures should be taken to ensure that the vaccination is accepted more.’ Instead, the 67-year-old demands: ‘Incentives must be created.’
Nurse Jolana (55) makes it very clear: ‘I won't get vaccinated a third time, even if it will cost me my job this time. I won't do that!’
Even vaccination supporter Michael (55) speaks out against it: ‘I think being unvaccinated is bad in principle, but I don't think it's good that such reprisals are being imposed because of it.’
Bottom Lines
What’s the name of an insurance company refusing to pay out insurance claims on irrelevant or inadmissible grounds?
Why aren’t we talking more about the fact that a state-owned entity, such as the Arbeitsmarktservice Austria, engaged in such egregious breaches of law and, yes, principles?
Shout-out to all those who remained unbowed.
#neverforget
This happened in Canada as well. Employment Insurance (EI), a workforce funded government program. They refused to pay claims to the unvaccinated who lost their jobs for not getting vaccinated. The government made sure this happened. My spouse was one of these employees, who paid into EI for years, and their claim was refused because they were placed on leave without pay for being unvaccinated. Criminal.
This must be illegal and unconstitutional both. Surely some party in Austria would be interested in scoring political points by digging up who in governement tacitly approved of this theft?
Here, it would fall under discrimination for starters and would be such a hot potato unions and employers both would oppose it (we have problems recruiting people with specialist skills now; people with such skills don't want to live in a nation where they cannot segregate from the Middle Eastern and African trash, even if they themselves hail from there).
