Police investigates since fall 2023, but all (alleged) perpetrators have been released on their own recognisance, legacy media blames 'the patriarchy'

This is yet another one of these things I don’t want to talk about (as in ever), but I’m afraid we must. Sigh.

As indicated by the title already, we need to talk about serial sexual abuse and rape of a 12 year-old girl at the hands of up to 17 teenagers. Her ordeal commenced in October 2023, and now details are making it through to the public.

The first thing to note here is that I’m horrified by the 12 year-old’s ordeal, I’m disgusted by police and the judiciary interrogating the (alleged) perpetrators who, because they are legally minors, have been released on their own recognisance.

In line with what seems ‘current MO’, the (alleged) perpetrators did take cell phone videos of their acts, which they then used to blackmail the victim. Police took those cell phones and is said to be ‘analysing the content’, but they still released the suspects.

We do have, therefore, at our hands yet another miscarriage of justice in the making, with the victim, a 12 year-old girl, and her ordeal being discussed in public. Needless to say, virtue-signalling, agit-prop, and stunning levels of disingenuous ‘reporting’ are, once again, all that one hears from legacy media.

I’ve compiled what we know today, based on cited legacy and alt-media reporting; translations and emphases mine, as are the bottom lines.

Three Prostitutes Slain by Asylum-Seeker

To appropriately contextualise what happened to the young girl, we must first note that violence against especially (young) women is abominable no matter what.

Last week, though, there occurred a disgusting episode that is quite something in the context of this post’s ‘main’ story: a 27 year-old Afghani asylum-seeker, who had been in Austria for two years, killed three prostitutes who ‘worked’ in an illegal brothel.

As reported more or less consistently across legacy media (e.g., here), the 27 year-old had killed three ‘Asian women’ with a knife:

Police were on high alert. On the same day, a woman (51) and her 13-year-old daughter had already been murdered in the 3rd district of the Austrian capital. The day before, a decomposed and mutilated body was discovered in Ottakring [the 16th district].

Perpetrator was also injured himself in the attack

A search was immediately launched for the perpetrator. The police followed traces of blood and found a 27-year-old man trying to hide in a bush in a nearby park with a knife…

‘He first had to be treated in hospital because he injured himself in the course of committing the offence. He was then handed over to police custody’, said the police spokesperson. ‘The interrogations and investigations into the background to the offence are now in full swing.’

So, last week’s news were five murdered women; predictably, as well as disgustingly, legacy media blamed ‘the patriarchy’ (of course). Words of warning came, surprisingly, from toilet-lover Florian Klenk, editor-in-chief of Der Falter, one of the worst state-funded Zero Covid/Pro-Woke rags in the country (source):

Yes, we should all take more time and act in accordance with principles, based on facts, and with consideration. Especially if we’re talking about ‘hot’ issues, such as mass immigration.

So, to conflate all these five murders into one ‘anti-immigrant’ narrative is certainly not the right way to do this. But this is also last week’s ‘news’, as sad as it is, and the main news these days, is very, very, very different.

12yo Serially Abused, Police Releases Suspects

The first legacy media outlet to bring new details to the public’s attention was the Kronen Zeitung. Earlier today, this was reported:

The allegations are enough to make your blood run cold: up to eight perpetrators (!)—most of whom were still minors themselves—are said to have molested the then twelve-year-old at the same time over a period of months and even filmed the sexual abuse on their mobile phones.

Police temporarily arrested a total of 17 suspects in a coordinated operation in the early hours of Thursday morning [29 Feb. 2024]. They were later released and returned to their children’s rooms.

Multicultural Gang Struck in Underground Car Park, Flat and Stairwells

The boys—among them six Austrians with a migration background, three Syrian asylum seekers, the rest from south-east Europe and Turkey—are between 13 and 18 years old.

A detailed report to the public prosecutor’s office, which is available to the Krone, only gives a faint ideas of the ordeal that Anna-Sofia [name changed] had to endure. A harrowing mix of sexual violence, blackmail, and coercion: It began with a supposedly harmless kiss in an underground car park near Vienna’s main railway station. But it didn’t stop there.

In the days that followed, the girl was passed around like a trophy among a 15-year-old’s circle of friends. Sexual intercourse [orig. Geschlechtsverkehr, a rather neutral term to use here] also took place in a flat in Favoriten and in a stairwell. Some of the offences were filmed, and one video is even said to show eight teenagers attacking the child at the same time. Four mobile phones were seized and analysed by the police.

Perpetrators face ‘only’ Five Years in Prison

The girl only confided in her mother months later. But before that, she is rumoured to have gone into hiding for a short time and was considered missing. The victim was robbed of her childhood, the perpetrators face a maximum of five years in prison due to their young age—the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office and the State Office of Criminal Investigation are continuing their investigation…

If you wish to throw up right now, hold on to it for a moment.

Zero Covid/Pro-Woke Rag Der Standard Tells ‘More’

For what follows, we rely on the well-known hatemongers from Der Standard whose editors—no specific name is cited in the byline—elect to ‘report’ (rewrite) that above Krone piece and added some material from a press release issued by the Vienna State Police Directorate on 29 Feb. 2024 (from which the below paragraphs were taken):

In October of last year, the mother of a minor reported sexual offences between her daughter and several young people to the police.

The Vienna State Office of Criminal Investigation (Landeskriminalamt Wien Außenstelle Süd) has taken over the investigation.

Following an order from the Vienna public prosecutor's office, several suspects were brought in for immediate questioning this morning. They are between 13 and 18 years old. In the course of one of these presentations, a 16-year-old resisted the authorities. The young person was provisionally arrested. After the other suspects were questioned, they were released.

The investigation is ongoing.

Further information will be given at a press briefing at 1 p.m. on 1 March 2024. An invitation will be sent to all media representatives tomorrow.

Together with the above-related Krone piece, that’s literally all information that is currently available (if one wishes to discount the investigation documents available to the Kronen Zeitung).

Violence against women

Every third woman in Austria is exposed to physical and/or sexual violence from the age of 15, according to a survey by Statistics Austria. On average, three women are murdered in Austria every month, according to the Association of Autonomous Austrian Women's Shelters (AÖF). The perpetrators are often in a relationship or family relationship with the victim and have not learnt to resolve conflicts without violence.

Violence by men against women occurs in all social classes, nations, family relationships, and occupational groups. Murders of women are also referred to as femicides. The term is used to express the fact that these murders are often not caused by individual problems, but by problems affecting society as a whole, such as the devaluation of women and patriarchal role models.

Talk about spin deriving its power from ideological considerations.

On the Perversion of the Rule of Law

One of the cornerstones of Modernity and its relative success has been the ‘rule of law’. There are clear rules (the constitution as well as the criminal and civil codes), a separation of powers intended to prevent political shenanigans (tampering) with court cases, and freedom of speech to report accurately.

What happened in the case of this poor child who was serially abused is an abomination.

She does deserve better, especially in terms of media coverage. Please re-read the above ‘information box’ by Der Standard—and re-consider the above-related facts as they are known ahead of the press conference.

The rule of law indicates that even perpetrators of heinous crimes, such as serially sexually abusing a child, are entitled to certain protections.

Yet, Der Standard and many like-minded journos are blaming ‘the patriarchy’ for what happened to that poor child.

We have a system in place that is investigating suspects; they are to blame, primarily, and if you wish to blame our societal model, go ahead, but don’t you single out a specific group of people more or less arbitrarily thrown together (‘men’) for no other reason than…well, what exactly? Their biological sex? I though that’s a ‘social contruct’ that is, you know, ‘assigned at birth’.

You see, the problem with this guilt-and-hate-mongering by (chromosomal) association flies in the face of all the admittedly idiotic-to-begin-with social constructivist activism related to ‘queer’ and other so-called ‘sexual orientations’ or ‘identities’. You literally cannot have it both ways.

Shall we break some proverbial eggs here?

What Do Crime Statistics Say?

We could—nay, should, or must—talk about certain origin groups and sub-cultures that are disproportionally represented in such heinous acts.

This is the gist of a report commissioned by the Ministry of Justice (sic), on violence vs. women, which you can access here. While I shall, if required, discuss the German-language report in detail, its main findings may be briefly summarised here:

From 2010-20, there were 751 police reports concerning serious violence vs. women (312 homicides, 439 attempted homicides) in Austria, with a total of 793 victims. These acts were carried out by 767 perpetrators.

Relative to its share of population of 21.2%, Vienna is disproportionally affected by these (attempted) homicides: 33.8% of all police reports are filed in the capital.

71.4% of the 793 victims were Austrian citizens, which were ‘clearly under-represented relative to their share of the population’.

As regards the (alleged) perpetrators, well, see for yourself:

Note that the share of population is the right-most column; the share of the total perpetrators is in the middle column with the header ‘Prozent’.

A longitudinal comparison of nationalities over the period under investigation shows widely difereing values. The highest proportion of Austrian suspects was recorded in 2015 (76.9%) and the lowest in 2017 (58.5%). Overall, there were fewer Austrian suspects in the period 2017 to 2020 than in the period 2010 to 2016.

Looking at the age group as well as the nationality, it can be seen that the proportion of Austrian suspects increases steadily in every age group from the age of majority. The groups of suspects over the age of 80 consist exclusively of Austrians. In all age groups, more than half of the suspects are Austrian citizens.

The second paragraph here indicates: the younger the perpetrators, the more non-Austrian citizens there are.

Look at the age brackets 20-20 and 30-39: the share of non-citizens (which also includes naturalised individuals) is extremely high and very much in excess of their relative share of the population.

Would you like to dare a guess about the most-affected victim brackets?

Oh, look, it’s almost exactly the same, with the 0-9 age bracket being the big difference (and, as far as I am concerned, it might be a function of sustained mass immigration = less citizens rather than more violent migrants, but this might also play a role here).

I’ll stop here with the study snippets, because I think you get the point: there is a quite clear correlation between certain age brackets, the nationality/provenance of perpetrators and victims, and the period leading up to the present. Remember, the share of non-Austrian perpetrators increased from 2017 onwards, and we don’t have more recent data.

Speaking of data, by the way, it might be interesting to learn that the above study was authored by one Birgitt Haller, Ph.D., who is clearly of a certain (pro-woke, for lack of a better term) ideological persuasion. While this is clearly evident from the woke-ified nonsense in the policy recommendations of the paper, she’s also the main data provider for none other than—Florian Klenk. Here’s a few of the policy recommendations, courtesy of an op-ed by Mr. Klenk dated 27 Feb. 2024 (i.e., before the above-related abuses of this 12 year-old child became public):

Femicide research: What could really prevent femicides

After the killing of six women within a few hours, populists are outdoing each other with radical ideas. They would do better to listen to the surprising findings of science…

The reactions were predictable. The murders could be prevented if we close the borders, the Freedom Party agitates. If we get the patriarchy under control, we will reduce the number of femicides, the Greens hope, because the perpetrators are ‘men’. The latter is true [talk about specks and beams, brother…]. But we need more knowledge in order to help women effectively [look at the preceding paragraph: let’s follow ‘the Science™’—to learn we ‘need more knowledge’—you cannot make this up]

What do we know about the perpetrators and their victims? And what political demands do we need to make of progressive justice and security policies if we want to prevent femicides? Last year, conflict researcher Birgitt Haller unearthed and meticulously analysed hundreds of files on femicides. Her findings are surprising…

On average, 20 out of four million women in Austria are murdered every year because they are women.

What are the highest risk factors? In the family. 57% of women are killed by their partner, a further 17% by a former partner and 19 murders are committed by relatives. Haller offers another surprising figure. The age group with the highest number of victims is over 70. The high proportion of partner murders at an advanced age (15%) was followed by a suicide (attempt) in almost all cases…

And the perpetrators? 93 men are responsible for the 100 femicides. Here, too, one figure stands out: For 63 perpetrators, almost two thirds of the murderers, ‘physical disabilities and addictions’ are noted in the study. In the end, 24 perpetrators were placed in an institution for mentally disturbed offenders (around a third took their own lives after the offence). An astonishing number of offences were therefore committed due to a severe psychiatric illness, mostly schizophrenia [no surprises there].

Something else is striking: 72% of the perpetrators were Austrian, 14 of whom had a migrant background. However, 25 murderers came from abroad, 18 of them from third countries [i.e., from outside the EU]. This means that 42% of femicide perpetrators had a migrant background, making them overrepresented [in other words: data shows we’ve got a problem]. Is it possible to draw general conclusions from such small numbers of cases? [let’s see if we get Mr. Klenk to transcend his ideological biases] The sample is too small to obtain empirically valid data [nope, we can’t]. But it is possible to recognise some weaknesses and make policy recommendations.

I’ll spare you these for later (if you wish to learn ‘more’ about them), for they fall in the expectable big gov’t, more control paradigm so loved by collectivists: more state ‘care’, more ‘training’ for police, healthcare providers, and regular people to prevent these abuses; Dr. Haller also demands a ‘broad-based public health campaign’ (oh, look, another one-size-fits-all approach); and massive activism vs. ‘patriarchy’.

So far, so stupid, and expectable.

Would you be surprised if I told you that the left-wing collectivist nutjob Florian Klenk noted the following at the bottom of his op-ed:

Turn over a Green-ish, Social-Democrat co-funded editor, find a collectivist activist. Sure, it’s an op-ed (fair game), but—guess where Dr. Haller’s ‘study’ is hosted? The website of the Ministry of Justice (sic), currently run by Green politician Alma Zadic…

Bottom Lines

Legacy media reporting is disgusting, collectivist-woke BS is pervasive, and the one question we’d all be asking should be: how do we turn around that ship?

Even if we would close the borders *today*, there are so many problematic migrants here already that the next decades will likely look more like the past 3-6 years than the relatively (way) more safer decades I remember from my childhood.

What happened to that poor child is neither the first such instance (e.g., click here for reporting on a homicidal duo of two young felons from Afghanistan who in spring 2021 killed a 13 year-old girl in Austria) nor will it be the last.

If anything, I strongly favour policies that return law and order to our streets and communities; this will entail deportation of these people from here to where-ever.

Also, we need to do something about ‘journos’ who hide behind their job description who espouse utter nonsense, such as Nina Horaczek, a member of the Falter staff (also known to us here as a devout communist), who, on the occasion of the three prostitutes murdered by the (alleged) Afghani man, state the following:

You are rendering a general verdict that stabbings are an Afghan problem. This is what I object to. In addition: I consider it unfair vis-à-vis the Afghan women to return the biggest assholes to their country where they can rape and murder women without fear of penalties. Yes, there are problems. But the patriarchy is also known to Austrian men.

This isn’t ‘journalism’, this is agit-prop in the literal Marxist-Leninist terms.

Unless this well-known far-leftist bias in legacy media changes, the blood of innocents will continue to run through our streets.

My thoughts and prayers go to that poor child whose life has been ruined.
